Erin O'Toole will not have to worry - he's Conservative.
At this point it is safe to say that Conservative supporters have completely embraced a post-reality, post-truth world.
Conservatives have, after all, turned someone who wanted to murder Trudeau into a happy sausage maker and nary a person found that disgusting.
Insinuating violence against MPs is accepted by them. Heck, CPC MPs are encouraging this DumTruck® convoy.
Three days ago, I imagine O'Toole was desperately trying to figure out how to put in some kind of appearance that would appease the Maverick faction without alienating the mainstream conservatives, while Polievre was trying to figure out just how many speeches he could squeeze into their demonstration.
I'm thinking that today, given the total fizzle this farce is turning out to be, Polievre may now be wondering how fast he can back pedal.
