Well, this is just depressing.
Yes, there are times when I am embarrassed to be Canadian.
AFTERSNARK: Some of you might remember that the very people who are so adamantly defending the Alberta tar sands project as being critically, massively, nad-grindingly important to our comfort and well-being as a society are the same ones who think it's knee-slappingly funny to waste as much energy as possible out of sheer, childish spite.
I've never understood how that worked. Feel free to explain it to me.

I wonder how long it will be before the government nets us an international boycott of Canadian products.
These are the same idiots who opposed the Green Shift, apparently because it would have saved money, reduced consumption, and perhaps lowered pollution.
Who can figure what passes for "conservatives" these days?
