LuLu here: Welcome to doing business with a government entity -- it happens all the time and at every level (municipal, provincial and federal). The fact that the crooked mayor's company is making a killing on City of Ottawa contracts is so not surprising.
It's also very old news for anyone in my line of work -- Calian's business with the city has been noticeably increasing since O'Brien's

Ottawa has a habit of electing its mayors for one term, or forever. I don't think we'll have Larry to kick around for very long.
Speaking of crooked mayors... Check out Stew Young in Langford, BC sometime. Jeeeeeez. His company is contracted for almost everything, but it's okay, because he doesn't vote in those votes. *snort*
