Blogging Tory and relentless Christian apologist Dick Ball brings the funny:
Quote of the Day: On Michael Shermer (Skeptic)
"Shermer thinks science is a game you play where you aren’t really after the truth but just trying to explain things without God."
Hate to break it to you, Dick, but that's exactly what science is -- an ongoing search for the best possible naturalistic explanations. Not sure what you find so amusing about that.

Although, we're also after the truth.
It depends on how you want to phrase it. Most science folks I know try to avoid the use of the word "truth" since it has such a final, non-negotiable ring to it. They're much more careful to say that they're just looking for better and better explanations.
I just love his byline:
"Ignorant, naive, unwilling to learn, hellbent on ~never~ questioning his faith and of course WRONG. But not "stupid".
This is the logical equivalent of:
"liquid dihydrogen monoxide, but not water"
Quite the deep thinker, that one.
