Blogging Tory Jabba the Roy knows how to deal with that pesky deficit (emphasis tail-waggingly added):
I urge large spending cuts, cutting electoral welfare and tax cuts.
Good thinking, Doc, because cutting electoral welfare would save us, uh, about $30 million per year, which would be tackling that $32 billion/year deficit head on by knocking it down by, let me see, almost one-tenth of per cent and ... you know, Doc, it's just easier to call you a pathetic retard.
I'm curious -- did Stephen Taylor set out to collect the stupidest people in Canada, or was that just a lucky coincidence?

Cutting tax cuts -- especially for people earning more than, say, $125,000 a year -- sounds like an excellent plan.
That's some prime, grade A stupid you've found there.
Well, Stephen Taylor's not exactly the brightest light on the planet, himself. Cripes, he's probably not the brightest light when he's alone in the bathroom.
Now now, sooey ... that Stephen boy's a feller at the Manning Centre for Democracy and Freedom and Wingnut Welfare and all. You should show a little more respect.
Yeah, I typed that with a straight face. You better be impressed.
"The Debt! The Debt!"
Boy, I bet Preston Manning will be rolling over in his grave now, eh?
Oh wait, is he still alive?
"Oh wait, is he still alive?"
there's only one way to find out. bury him and see if he shows up at the wake.
Re: Your question in last paragraph... I don't believe in coincidences.
So the way to fix a deficit (you know, not enough tax money coming in to cover the budget) is to CUT TAXES? That's a lot like quitting your second part-time job when you don't have the cash to cover the rent.
Is it just me, or does it seem that to Conservatives, EVERY problem can be magically solved by cutting taxes?
Banks going insolvent? Tax cuts will fix that!
Financial gap between rich and poor getting precariously wide? Cut taxes!
Got psoriasis? A little tax cut will clear that right up!
