Sure, Twatsy. And now it's YOUR turn.
Apparently, a recent post here at CC HQ (which we will actually re-address in the near future) was based on a change made by a Globe and Mail editor without permission of the author. NBC Dipper posted a retraction, and we here at CC HQ are happy to do exactly the same -- unambiguously and unequivocally -- which should be enough to cause Twatsy to totally cream himself in his Incredible Hulk Underoos.
But that brings up an interesting point: Given that we here at CC Central have never shied away from correcting our mistakes in public, one wonders when Twatsy will ever do the same, as when he recently accused Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar of wanting to seat Senator-elect Al Franken while the recount was still going on, when Klobuchar had said nothing of the sort.
How about it, Twats? When I make a mistake, I fess up to it. When you lie through your teeth, there's always a weaselly, tap-dancing excuse, followed by a change of subject. I can't expect this time to be any different, but feel free to surprise me.
And the waiting begins ...

Did it occur to you that if ballots remain uncounted, then the recount can't really be considered over?
Florida. 2000. I think most people with a real shred of honesty have been over this before.
And while you continue to ignore all the other irregularities in the Franken/Coleman affair -- double-counted ballots, precincts where there are more ballots being counted in the recount than voters who signed in on election night -- all in the name of your own very narrow partisan interests, you really never seem to stop to think about the fact that there are simply more important things tied up in that entire affair.
Do two wrongs really make a right? Especially when the whole Franken/Coleman affair is something that can so easily be dealt with by just properly investigating all of the irregularities.
In case you hadn't noticed -- and I have noticed that you've been dishonest enough to distort my stance on this entire matter -- I've been arguing that the important thing is to deal with the irregularities. Get to the bottom of them and if Franken wins, then so fucking be it.
I'm not terribly emotionally invested in who wins the Senate election in Minnesota. I've read Franken's books, enjoyed them, and while I'm not convinced he'll make a good senator -- certainly not with a Democrat administration -- I could give a fuck less if he wins.
But you, quite frankly, either don't get it or are just too dishonest to admit it.
In an election you count the votes. You count them all. You cound them properly. And when members of the Canvassing Board itself are admitting that irregularities are present, that means that they have to be investigated.
These are the issues that you've been running away from, because you're afraid to address them. It makes you so fucking transparent that it isn't even funny.
But even beyond that, do you really want someone to go over the laundry list of lies you've spat from this blog, and continue to spew despite the fact that you've been proven wrong on numerous occasions?
We all know you don't. It's what makes you an intellectual coward and a piece of garbage in general.
And, quite frankly, stupid. Because as it pertains to the Tom Flanagan issue -- an affair in which you've basically suggested an academic in this country should be fired for expressing his opinion -- I won.
And no matter how the Franken/Coleman affair turns out, I win -- so long as the irregularities in question are properly addressed.
Your problem, you fucking idiot, is that you can't pick your battles. And when you do, you wouldn't be genuinely honest if your life depended on it.
Certainly, we've seen that you're willing to feign honesty when you think it benefits you.
But you've proven your dishonesty over and over and over again. And more and more people are starting to figure this out.
Like I've said before, you're a parody of yourself. If you don't recognize that, it's because you're too fucking stupid to figure it out.
Yep. There's the 5:05. Right on schedule.
Oh for fuck's sakes, over 500 words that essentially say:
Blar-har-har-har! I'm right because I say I am!
You're welcome, I'm sure, you pathetic, mullet-sporting oaf.
See - this is a big part of why Canadian Cynic has my utmost respect.
It is one of those rare places on the internet where people are smart enough to realize that admitting an error is no moral or intellectual failing -- but in fact it is to admit that one is perhaps wiser and better informed today than they were yesterday.
I don't agree with all - or even most of the political standpoint of Canadian Cynic blog.. but I do admire the intellectual honesty.
Keep up the great work!
Shorter Twatsy: "I will now spew random and irrelevant nonsense endlessly to avoid having to deal with CC's very specific, explicit and carefully documented observation that I lied."
I'll bet you never saw that coming.
Gotta admit, him accepting NBCD's apology on behalf of Dr. Flanagan (without being asked to, natch) was a classy move.
Oh wait, no it wasn't, it was just self-important.
I'm still wondering about Twatsy's great t-shirt sale...
while you're rotfl and all patrick, how about showing us all how totally honest and big a guy you are. since we are talking about mea culpas, responsibility and such i suppose i can expect your apology anytime now...
"as it stands now, there is no deficit, and there won't be"
ah yes, another of the patrick gems. a little parsing adjustment and everyone's a liar but the fat boy.
"You posted this particular turd, suggesting that there was going to be a budgetary deficit after it's been revealled that there is no deficit. In fact, there's already a surplus through the first quarter of the fiscal year -- the very quarter of the fiscal year at which revenue receipts tend to be lowest. And you can barely even admit it -- at least not without trying to make the entire argument about something else entirely. Which is really my favourite thing about you: no matter how wrong you're proven to be, no matter how dishonest, somehow, in your mind, it always has to be the other person who's stupid and dishonest."
yup no deficit and regardless of the original point of a post, the argument after the fact becomes about some twisty shift of the goalposts. when discussing 'a', patrick argues 'b' and declares victory.
"Then again, sucking it up and admitting that Lindsay is humiliatingly wrong would be just a little too honest for you, wouldn't it, Lulu?"
and as the clock keeps spinning, we wait for patrick to do some of that 'sucking it up and admitting'. good thing we aren't holding our breath. because as it turns out my predictions were pretty much dead on and patrick's blowhardian bluster and bullshit were, as he said, "humiliatingly wrong".
"Becuase (sic) that's how you fucking budget, moron. You project your revenues, and plan your spending accordingly. Just like this government evidently did -- with a cool billion dollars to spare, and billions more still in the pockets of taxpayers."
just like this government... oops.
"But when I catch him trying to weasle (sic) out of making an obvious mistake by insisting that, by golly, somehow he's still correct, that's when his proverbial ass becomes mine. When you mess with the bull, you get the horns, Lindsay. And unlike yourself and your cohorts, I don't have to sink to deepest depths of intellectual cowardice and dishonesty in order to do it."
so that apology should be arriving... yeah, right. heh. you don't have to sink patrick, you're already there.
Why the hell is anyone apologising? If The Globe got Old Man Flanagan's text wrong, he should take it up with them. The article hasn't been corrected.
Remember...Tom "I Put my Underwear over My Pants Today" Flanagan is a neoconservative...his truths are different from the truths we lesser beings are allowed.

I want to know his real story, not the one he gave out when he mysteriously arrived here.
Why does Ross continue to lie about, of all things, the senatorial race in Minnesota?
Not just the "seated before the recount" lie, but the "more ballots than voters" lie? Next he'll be demanding Obama's real birth certificate.
This article's a good read:
http://www.startribune.com/politics/36093364.html?elr=KArksLckD8EQDUoaEyqyP4O:DW3ckUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aULPQL7PQLanchO7DiUX
Here's the salient paragraph:
A machine jammed in Maplewood, resulting in 177 ballots going uncounted until the final day of the recount in Ramsey County.
There's lots more, much recounted at this very site, but Ross will just scurry on to the next rumour and claim it's true. SOP for unreflective conservatives.
So If Flanagan's text was changed by an editor and NBCDipper apologized, that also means Twatsy's long breathless defense of that position was also wrong. Since, as Flanagan pointed out, it was not his position.
So, what exactly was Twatsy babbling on about? Oh right, to sound smart.
Perhaps he ought to have a slice of mea culpa pie too.
ROTFL
Mike, I've always known that you were both stupid and dishonest.
But you really just outdid yourself.
Hey Dawg, you never bothered to tell me if you were still envious of NBCD's "catch".
Well?
wv: "dingle"
How appropriate. Here I was just thinking what a dingleberry Tom Flanagan is...
And Twatrick has now moved on to "I know you are but what am I?".
Can "You're just a big poopy-head" be far behind?
Stay tuned.
What a stupid, fat, waste of his dad's sperm, fuck-shit he is.
