Canadian blogger Buckdog (that would be the other Canadian bloggy doggy) points out how climate change denialists are pretty much whores -- they're just haggling over the price.
And if you read far enough down in that Guardian article, you find the following delightful tidbit:
On Monday, another Exxon-funded organisation based in Canada will launch a review in London which casts doubt on the IPCC report. Among its authors are Tad Murty, a former scientist who believes human activity makes no contribution to global warming. Confirmed VIPs attending include Nigel Lawson and David Bellamy, who believes there is no link between burning fossil fuels and global warming.
Tad Murty? Oh, right ... that Tad Murty.
And in a demonstration of perfect timing, Buckdog also smacks around Canada's right-wing hacks the Fraser Institute who, coincidentally, have their fingers in the same turd-filled pie.
Canada's wankersphere: taking incestuous inbreeding to disturbing new levels.

The average change in global temperature since we began burning fossil fuels is the same as it was before we began burning fossil fuels.
What has changed is population, city size, and green area size.
The problem is not fossil fuels. The problem is too many people.
But it is easier to blame fossil fuels than telling people to stop having so much sex.

I'll let that comment go just this once but, in the future, I will delete comments that blogwhore so blatantly. You want to comment, then comment. You want to promote your own blogs, rent a billboard.
Are we clear?
I'm not really amused by the climatic change denialists' latest line of attack. This whole "overpopulation" idea seems like a pretty blatant attempt to pass the blame for global warming onto poor countries with high birth rates.
But hey, as long as you're throwing your credibility out the window, might as well blogwhore, too! I'm sure CC has lots of readers who are interested in the TV habits of morons...
We're going to have to start thinking about *shutting down* think-tanks. The lying and corruption has become a cancer on public discourse. Not only can democracy not function properly with disinformation, but neither can the economy.
On think tanks: I heard someone refer to them recently as faith-tanks, with seems fully a pros pos. I wish I could give credit, but I can not remember where I saw it.
On denial: The knuckle draggers i read this morning are seizing on the word 'contribute'. That is, they concede that humans contribute to global warming but its still a natural occurance.

You mean this?
Ha! Priceless.
i called rex murphy a dumbass on my blog today if anybody's interested.
sooey, I know it's been said before, but damn you're funny...
Here's a bit of an update.
The Frasers are nervous about demonstrations at their 'global warming denial' news conference in London on Monday and are increasing security.
