And the stupid continues to burn.

Blogging Brownshirt and Harper Youth member Brandon Langhjelm gets all electoral on us (emphasis tail-waggingly added):

If this is correct, it is a political play that is as masterful as it is utterly despicable. Michael Ignatieff will have succeeded in ascending to our nation's highest political office without having received a single vote outside his own riding, ...

As opposed to current PM Stephen Harper, whose name was apparently on the ballot from sea to shining sea, is that it, Brandon?

I swear, sometimes I wonder how these people manage to have bowel movements without explicit directions on flash cards they carry in their wallets.

Heavens. So Kim Campbell was elected as Prime Minister, was she?

There's a fair bit of precedent for this possibility. At least Ignatieff was elected to parliament (unlike, say, when Lucien Bouchard just parachuted into the leadership of the ruling Parti Quebecois a few years ago, without even being running in an election.)

According to the rules of our elections, we do not vote for a Prime Minister. The PM is chosen by the party that got the most votes.

If there's a coalition -- i.e. A GOVERNMENT THAT GOT THE MOST VOTES to be elected to parliament -- it's their decision who the leader is.

I believe many are now incontinent, given current events.

Flash cards? But that would require reading, not to mention the use of one hand to hold the thing, which would cut in half their odds of finding their backsides.

No, I suspect it's implanted electrodes hooked to a small radio receiver tuned to the CBC 10 AM time signal.

They have bowel movements all the time! It is controlling them that is the problem. The average tory appears to shit his pants at least a couple of times a day. Like whenever they see a newspaper.
