Aaron Unruh: Because keeping your hypocrisy consistent iz hard werk.

As the iPod-obsessed LuLu was kind enough to point out, The Politic's "Spanky" finally twigged to the rising level of panic in the Canadian Dumbass-o-sphere over the accusations levelled at Richard Warman, and childishly deleted his links to said accusations (without actually retracting anything of course, since that would have required something resembling principle and ... oh, hell, you can see where I'm going with this, right?).

In any event, I don't think Spanky was in any legal danger since anyone who was looking for libel targets to sue would have taken one look at Spanky and realized immediately, "Holy fuck, he's just an ignorant retard," and moved on.

But it's amusing how Spanky is suddenly concerned about the possible consequences of linking to crap since he didn't seem to have that much of a problem back here:

Now, one could say that providing a link to an article as well as quoting a passage from the article without any additional commentary makes me a horrible bigotted piece of garbage slimeball, as the silly link-blind person claims and which a handful on trolls of this site are currently screaming. But here’s the deal. I provide the link, you go read if you like, “refute” whatever you like, and leave me alone. How hard is this? And if you don’t like the articles I link, then treat the presence of my name at the top of posts as a warning: “Oops, my feelings are about to be hurt, had better not read.”

Yes, Spanky, you're a real right-wing stud there, boy. Here at CC HQ, when we link to something approvingly, that generally means we've read it carefully and we're prepared to stand behind what it says. You, on the other hand, well ... not so much, eh?

Colour me surprised.

P.S. By the way, Aaron, does the idea of female genital mutilation still give you the giggles? I'm just curious.
