A half ton pig? Scary. (Poor thing.)
An 11 year old christian schoolboy with .50 Magnum revolver? Way past scary!

How far back was the boy kneeling in this picture??? Why wasn't he kneeling in front of the "Giant Pig" so we could have some type of size comparision??? With the "GP" in the foreground of the shot and the boy kneeling 10 feet behind the pig, the pig would look enormous. Can you say "hoax"?

Confirms the USA has the biggest fattest pigs in the world.

God willing, any father than lets an 11 year old have a .50 should experience the joys of a hunting accident soon ;)

So what is it with Chris? Are Christians with guns more scary than Jews, or Blacks, or Mexicans, or gays, or Democrats, or... It is amazing how some people can't recognize prejudice in their statements unless they fit neatly onto the templates of their own bigotry.

well there mr. anon, perhaps it had to do with the article's prominent mention of the small christian school that the young hunter attends. for the record, any 11 year old kid wielding a .50 caliber weapon is pretty damned scary. and what the hell is up with going hunting with a handgun anyway? to the boy's credit, he must have some kind of strong wrists. i've fired a magnum .45 and the recoil was shocking.

This is disgusting. I don't care how big the pig is, but a 11 year old kid shooting animals? Typical American and I read he shot his first dear at the age of 5. America watch your kids. You're raising KILLERS!!!!

Of course I mean 'deer' not 'dear'. Although you never know when he gets older, he might shoot his 'dear' also. Trigger happy little a..hole.

At Art Science Research Lab, we are responsible for the publication of several media ethics blogs, checkyourfacts.org and stinkyjournalism.org. Earlier today, we published our analysis of this story and photograph, which ran on the AP, Fox News, ABC, CBS, and CNN. These photos are obvious fakes, as our in-house photo experts and an NYU physicist attest. The boy and his father were scheduled to appear on NBC’s Today Show today, until we exposed the hoax and presented our evidence to NBC. For the full story, check out www.stinkyjournalism.org

What is with you anti hunting extreme leftists? Hunters contribute more to wildlife than all the liberal extremists put together. You wish harm to come to a boy’s father? Oh my God, talk about evil, look in the mirror!

The young man was engaged in a legal Endeavour. Unless you are a vegan you are a hypocrite. If you are a vegan, that makes you a self loathing ignorant fool. The lack of a proper diet has obviously caused brain damage.

It is amazing how you people are the most intolerant and vitriolic in our society. Your lifestyle is a luxury of the hard work ethics and solid conservative values this young man is learning form his father. You people just ride our coat tails without contributing anything.

Just were was this so called giant Hog wandering around and minding his own pig business? And nobody else has ever seen or attempted to "hunt" this so called World's largest Swine?

GMAB!! Besides the boy should have been in school on Friday!!

I want to address a few things here:
When your family has been in the same community for the last 20 or so generations you tend to be related in one way or another to every one in that community. Similar beliefs are just a symptom of a homogenous community. If this is a Christian community they will associate Christianity with being good and any thing strange with being bad.
Then there is the poverty. When the state can’t cough up the cash, charity work falls to the church. This is where the lines between church and state start to get blurred, one generation later and questionable thinking has become a norm.
As far as hunting goes hand in hand with poverty. Sex is for the most part free entertainment. Birth control costs money, just like the good education needed to learn about birth control. How are you supposed to feed your family when you can’t afford to go to the grocery store? You hunt, fish, and grow a garden.
One last point, wild boar and feral pigs have become an invasive species. They are hunted with out limit in Texas and other southern states. (Not sure about limits and seasons outside of Texas) Several recent e-coli out breaks from California produce have been linked to feral pig feces. And these animals are moving north in to Canada through the Dakotas.

Great pig, I wish that more of our youth would hunt. Chidren that hunt are required to take hunter safety courses and are also required to be with an adult until they are a certain age, talk about good quality time with the kids. At least this keeps them off the streets unlike other kids that are in gangs and getting into trouble, the real murderers. Further more if you are for gun control maybe you should brush up on your history and ask the jews about HITLER. Guns don't kill people, people kill people!! if you think that they do maybe we should outlaw cars or even box cutters.

Oh, yes. This is obviously a political issue. A boy kills a pig that his family plans to eat, and suddenly he's some type of sicko? You stupid morons. A kid shot a huge pig. End of story.

Alright morons settle down. Your writings and petty jealousy show just how infantile you are. We may have the largest hogs in America but at least we don't eat our cats and dogs. Go back to your caves and club youselves instead of your spouse this time, and leave this kid alone.

whys the pig wearing a cap and a tshirt and holding a gun??????

Anonymous said...

You simple bastards. Don't you have anything else to worry about? What should he have hunted wild boar with? A sling shot? A .22? A hockey puck?

By the way, do you morons realize that feral pigs/wild boars are very destructive?

Many professional biologists and wild game experts believe that at the rate feral pigs and wild boars are breeding and spreading that by 2020 every state and every province will have populations of them. It is a major concern.

Perhaps you would prefer to pay somebody to control their numbers rather than hunters paying to hunt them.

Ever wonder where all those wonderful state game lands come from? The ones that are open to all outdoors people including fishermen, campers, hikers, bird watchers, etc.

Jesus Christ on a Harley, some of you folks need to get a life. The story's a hoax. Deal with it.

yeah i am with the other comment... this kid could be doing drugs or killing people,be thankful it wasn't you he shot! so all of you animal rights people need to get a life and realize that even though you eat your grass or whatever it is you starve yourself with, its still a living plant and you are killing it, so shut up and get on! Nice job on the pig, hell of a kill!
mmmmmm bacon!

BTW, it has been made public that this is a hoax...the pig is real...but not wild. It was acquired (seemingly) for this specific purpose. The original owner has come forward...See NPR website.
