Oh, dear ...

Once you've spent months demonizing your opponent as a dangerous, evil, Muslim fanatic, it ain't so easy to close that box, is it, John?

On the bright side, at least you've identified your real base.

Hysterical rightard: "I'm afraid of Obama. He's an Arab."

McCain: "No ma'am, he's a nigger...I mean a citizen...he's a citizen!"

No. No 'citizens', only 'fellow prisoners'.

This is the first time McCain has actually shown himself to be anything other than a foaming-at-the-mouth scare-monger. He actually sounded like a reasonable human being!

Somebody take his temperature?

All snide aside, this might boost his votes a bit. Not that he has a hope in hell of winning, but by showing his reasonable and human side, I'll bet he's won back a few of the Repugnicants who were more scared of him than Obama...

I just find it odd that McCain has to refer to Obama as a citizen. Obviously, not an American...not the good kind, anyway.

Ti-guy, I think that might have been because some people still insist on calling Obama things like "an Arab..." I think he's doing damage control with his own crowd, there.

"He's an Arab."

And just shut the hell up, McCain, because YOUR PEOPLE TAUGHT THESE KNUCKLE-DRAGGERS TO THINK OF HIM THAT WAY.

Evil, evil, evil.

I know what he's doing, Chimera, but it's a bit late in the game.

Remember how McCain handled "How do we beat the bitch?"

Incidentally, since when are "Arab" and "American Citizen" mutually exclusive categories? It seems to say something about McCain's attitude toward people of Arabic descent that he counters "He's an Arab" with "No, he's a citizen".
