Nothing knocks up a teen faster than a hypocrite for a parent.

If you check the stats you'll also find murder rates are higher in the Red States. So much for 'law'n'order'.

And they, horrors, depend on the Federal government for survival. They receive more in Federal funds than they pay in Federal Taxes.

The dichotomies would be amusing if they weren't do sad.

The divorce are also higher.

Hypocrisy is fundamental to these people.

Youse guys don't understand anything. The South is where they need red state values. Red state values are what they use to try to control their kids. Which youse guys would need too, if you raised your kids that way. Think of how bad things would be in the South without red state values.

no teen programs, lack of sex education in these states, oppressive people that think they are next to god and cause their kids to rebel by going out and actually be social but they don't know how to be social so all they do is get drunk and fuck, they think that they are in love and then want a baby and that is going to give them a family and a nice suburban house and SUV adn they will live happily ever after, they think TV is reality....take your pic

The right wing tends to attract people who derive much of their self esteem from comparing themselves with others. I believe many are the kind who usually feel left out, as though there is a big party going on somewhere and they weren't invited.

This manifests itself in viewing others as piggies at the trough, with no redeeming value, and the view that others with more perks than themselves are scammers and have not earned them. That belief justifies their own clamoring for "getting their share".

Such a view happens in any situation where there is any sort of attempt by society to help the less fortunate through welfare, health care and other supports. They tell themselves that using the system as little as possible is communism (give what you can and take what you need) and since everybody else cheats and grabs as much as they can, they should too.

"Getting their share" is the driving force behind the Harper Senate appointments, since he clearly did not attempt to appoint people for the Senate's real purpose of reviewing laws and giving a second look.

"Getting their share" is the reason we see the so-called red states being net consumers of tax dollars, and the reason why there is a laissez-faire attitude to such things as teen pregnancies, since these are seen as sources of funds as well as of people to garner future funds, all in the name of "getting their share".

All the moral indignation over teen pregnancies is not shown under the current situation. It is being kept in reserve for the day when there is no social safety net, and then can be used to justify the callous kicking to the curb of anyone who they can then look down their noses at as moral degenerates. Only a few poster child cases are shown any compassion, and only to allow them to wear the guise of compassion.

Yes, I believe I've found the correlation.

Which makes you wonder why states like New Jersey, New York and Connecticut stay in the Union. I remember back in New Jersey Public School, a fine teacher explaining how our state and our Tri-State brothers make up only about x% of the national population. Wow, how the pride swelled as I waited for the bell to ring and go play dodge ball with my fellow students. Then the teacher would finish the statement with and we pay (x)+5% in to the Fed.
That has always stuck in my mind, (when most things are long been forgotten)as we pummeled the unlucky new kid from pennsyltuckey. I always asked myself, "Why the Fuck are we still apart of this country?" When nobody else was asking I decided I should get the fuck out and move to a more enlightened society or someplace with better beer atleast.

I do, yes. Blue Staters get great pleasure from killing their babies.

I will point out that the article itself says that the reasons those states have the highest rates is because they have high hispanic and blck populations, who have higher teen pregnancy rates. This is due to all kinds of reasons, from poverty to inability to receive proper sex education, but it is a bit, well, dumb, to blast conservative Christians when they are not the ones driving the teen pregnancy rates up.

The Seer said...

So, Graham, tell me. Why do you suppose poor kids in Christianist states suffer from this "inability to receive proper sex education?"

The Seer said...

Following Graham, the reason Bristol Palin got knocked up outside of marriage is that she's 1/32 Eskimo. Everyone knows about those people, don;'t they, Graham.

I fully agree that the issue is in the states inability to provide these things, whether it be because of "red-state values" or whatever the reason. I was simply saying that the people getting pregnant are not the Christianists children, it is those who their policy affect adversely. That should be the issue discussed, but instead everyone seems to be gloating about teen pregnancies. So I was just trying to point out that that may be a bit, well, dumb. Or at the very least insensitive. If blacks and hispanics are having high rates of teen preganancy because the states in which they live do not provide proper sex education etc.., the best thing to say may not be "haha, fucking christians are hypocrites!"

Graham said...

Oh, and The Seer, if your going to claim that I "know" what "Eskimo's" are like, and that this explains Bristol Palin'e pregnancy, it would be good for me to point out that Todd Palin is in fact one quarter Yup'ik, which is a tribe of Inuit, but i guess to The Seer, all Inuit or Eskimos are the same, right?

Or you could make some sort of relevent point other than "Graham must be racist because he didn't just say 'HAHAHA, Christians are a bunch of teen-baby having mout breathers!'"

Or something.
