Israel's "security" wall: A picture is worth a thousand words.

To go along with Mark MacKinnon's week-long series in the Globe on the shameless land grab that is Israel's alleged security wall, if you really want to dig into this, you might want to go here and start reading.

Perhaps the most enlightening part of that entire series can be found here where you can see, partway down the page on the left, the actual geography of the wall:

A far more detailed image can be seen by following the link to get to here, where it becomes blindingly obvious that the wall doesn't even pretend to follow the infamous "Green Line," but rather meanders all over the place, ducking into Palestinian territory wherever there's settled or arable land to be annexed.

So ... are we anti-Semitic yet? Just curious.

Yes, we are anti-semites.

Israeli Lobby:
This wall is necessary for Israel's security.

Anti-wall person:
Then shouldn't it be built on Israel's borders, and not cut into Palestine and take some of the best arable land and water? Isn't this going to create more anger at Israel? And kill more hope, so suicide bombers have nothing to lose?

Israeli Lobby:
No. Anyone who doesn't support this wall obviously wants Israel to be destroyed, hates Jews, and loves it when a Palestinian suicide-bomber strikes.

Anti-wall person: But I don't want Israel to be destroyed, and have no problem with Jews. I also abhor suicide-bombings just as much as I abhor F-16s and Apache gunships firing missiles into neighbourhoods.

Israeli Lobby:
Anybody who equates surgical Israeli airstrikes with bloody Palestinian terror is anti-Semetic and wants Israel to be destroyed

Anti-wall person:
But I don't hate Israel... And both those acts of violence kill innocent people, don't they?

Israeli Lobby:
No. Every single Palestinian killed was a militant, or supported the militants or was going to grow up to be a militant, in order to avenge the death of his or her miltant sibling/parent's death. Anyone opposed to killing militants who want to destroy Israel is an anti-Semite. Are you an anti-Semite?

Anti-wall person:
Well, I'm not. I have nothing against Jews, but if the Israeli lobby wishes to frame the debate that way, then yes, what the fuck, I am an anti-Semite.
