Ezra Levant: Bullshit artist.

Once again, here's Ezra Levant, lying outrageously about the highway arrest of renowned homophobe and bigot Pastor Art Pawlowski:

Luckily, I once explained why this narrative was a total pile of horseshit.

You're welcome.

AFTERSNARK: For more evidence of the lying griftiness and con artistry of Ezra Levant and "Pastor Art" Pawlowski, check out the ridiculous dishonesty of the time Pastor Art was arrested at the airport.

The uncut version, which Artur originally posted himself, began with Artur in the stopped vehicle, police in stopped car visible behind him. Artur is soliloquizing, and there are two other people in the car with him: his son David, and whoever is shooting the video. The police approach the driver's side window and politely inform Artur he's being arrested. Artur's son starts screaming "Gestapo! Gestapo!" at the cops as Artur is quite gently guided from the car. The camera then tilts and shoot the floor of the car for about thirty seconds, as we hear David shouting in the background. When the video picks up Artur again, he is kneeling in traffic, several yards in front of his car, and the familiar show begins. As you note, Artur is being "dragged" because he's refusing to stand, an old demonstrator's trick to make the cops look brutal.
Since the cop car to which he is removed is BEHIND his car, there is NO possible way the cops first moved way ahead of his own vehicle, then "dragged" him back to theirs.

If Dawid is there, he is Artur's brother, not son, and he is just as horrible as Artur.

They’ve worked up quite the buddy act. In the most recent arrests Art plays the role of dignified pastoral martyr while David circles the scene recording, shrieking insults at the cops and being as provocative as possible. It’s pure theatre: at one arrest last year at Artur’s home, when Artur refuses to cooperate with the cops and drops to his knees, you can hear one of the arresting officers chuckle and say something to the effect of: “Oh, come on, Art, you’re not going to make us go through this again, are you?”

Anon @ 8:00 AM: I have, more than once, suggested a simple solution to Pastor Art's Ezra-choreographed Kabuki theatre. On two occasions, Pastor Art dropped to his knees on a busy highway, and on some airport tarmac. Now, anyone who's had to kneel on, say, hardwood, or a sidewalk, *knows* how uncomfortable that gets very, very, quickly.

So my suggestion is, if the Pastor does that on a suitably unforgiving surface, the cops should just *leave* him there while they wait around. This makes them seem eminently reasonable, and if the pastor tries to get up, they should tell him, no, he *chose* to kneel on that asphalt, so he can keep doing that until he's willing to co-operate.

Problem solved.
