For once, I think you should take his advice.

Apparently, the GOP is hopelessly fucked but -- no fear -- Ramesh Ponnuru and Rich Lowry would like to offer their guidance:

The Grim Truth
Republicans face a calamitous political situation; but they can act to avoid it

That would, of course, be this Rich Lowry:

Oh, dear God, please take Rich's advice. Please, please, please. My tail may never stop wagging.

If more supporters of the war had been willing to admit that the war was going badly in 2005–6, we might have undertaken the surge and switched our strategy earlier.

The amnesia of people like Lawry never ceases to amaze me.

Isn't this a little bit like the dark matter stuff? Republicans destroyed by observers?

What we learned...Hmm.

George W. Bush is a lying bastard.

And my fellow countrymen are a combination of bone headed morons and pissy pants cowards who are afraid to stand up en masse to defend themselves when their rights are thrown away so Exxon mobile can make an extra $50 billion in a quarter.

Oh and the average right wing conservative doesn't give a shit about anyone or anything outside his preconceived notions about how the world works. Doesn't matter what reality actually is, they're always right and everyone else is always wrong, evil, immoral, unjust and are all going to hell.

That's what I learned.
