"Reality? No, thanks, I prefer where I live now."

There's the unpleasant fact-based life over there:

Ministry: Iraq families join exodus to escape violence

Hundreds of thousands of people have fled their homes to escape the war and escalating sectarian violence in Iraq, the country's Ministry of Displaced Persons and Immigration announced Wednesday.

Then there's Zippy the Pinhead, checking in from the planet Weembo:

House Homeland Security Chairman Peter King (R-NY) spoke at the Merrick Jewish Center in Merrick, NY. King told his constituents that “the situation [in Iraq] is more stable than you think.” He cited “bumper to bumper traffic,” shopping centers, restaurants, video stores, vendors, and hotels to conclude that being in Baghdad is “like being in Manhattan.”

Except for the daily gunfire, beheadings and suicide bombers. That's like being in New Jersey.

This seems to be a necessary preparation for the division of Iraq into three sections.
From the article:

"Sunni Arabs have been fleeing to Sunni areas (the displaced group that has grown the most); Shias have been fleeing to Shia areas; Kurds have been fleeing to the northern provinces and Christians to parts of Nineveh province."

Is this a Plan B, divide and conquer ploy by that proxy for the petro-multinationals? Those ungrateful Iraqs show no signs of embracing the corporate written constitution (includes freedom, liberty, and foreign control of resources).
Break them up and lets see who doesn't want to co-operate.
The Kurds will be eager to do business in exchange for a homeland.
The Sunnis, being less radical and in need of international investment will probably be approachable.
Of course they will have to have near dictatorial rule.
An entrenched ruling cabal to take care of any political dissent or threat to the oil companies piping the profits out.
A Mini-me Saddam.
Dang, maybe we shouldn't have gone and blown away his sons after all.
Well, not to worry, the US have years of experience setting up puppet administrations.
That leaves the Shia and they will be the immediate problem.
Would a Saudi 'fence the infidels in with the oil infrastructure' work? A cordon sanitaire from any corrupting, decadent Western influence.
Preventing this theocratic colony from becoming too cozy with Iran would present a problem though.
What a buzzkill that would be if that sweet, light, southern crude found its way into an Irani bourse.
More work for Office of Dirty Tricks.
The new carrier and battle fleet are to be in the Gulf early next month and it's so much easier to call the shots with overwhelming military power close at hand.
Whether this Iraq 2.0 will be a viable construct for oil barons remains to be seen.
No wonder nobody likes playing poker with the repug neo-cons.
They make Texas hold 'em into Texas hold 'em up if it doesn't go their own way.
Of course I could be all wrong about this.
Maybe tomorrow everyone will lay down their arms, set up a responsible, representative government with free healthcare and ponies for all.
This will all be paid for by the oil wealth reaped from grateful oil companies who will be able to operate round the clock in the bright sunlight blowing out my ass!
