PM Justin Trudeau might want to have a chat with his personal protection.

While popping in on ex-Rebeler and white nationalist memorabilia expert Keean "Tomorrow Belongs to Me" Bexte is normally moderately amusing, this is not ... it's downright frightening:

As if it's not creepy enough that Trudeau's security detail is openly complaining about him to members of the public, Bexte launches into sordid detail:

So, just to be clear, if what Bexte writes above is to be believed, what we have here are the people explicitly tasked with protecting the Prime Minister of Canada, palling around with a known white nationalist and regaling him with how much they dislike the guy whose safety is their only job.

If this is not a firing offense for "Cpl. Bulford," then, fuck, nothing is.

YUP, IT'S FOR REAL: Here's the Prime Minister of Canada's personal sniper bodyguard, publicly telling a known white nationalist how much he despises his boss:

Nothing threatening about that, I'm sure.

P.S. If Cpl. Bulford is still employed by the Government of Canada at the end of the day, that is just fucked up beyond words.

P.P.S. New Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand's first task should be to tell Cpl. Bulford that he has 15 minutes to pack up his desk, after which he will be escorted to the door to make sure he leaves the building and the property.

I never heard of a cop COMPLAINING about authoritarianism before. They're usually the ones begging for more of it. I guess it's only good authoritarian if they get to bash people with sticks and tazers, not if polite bureaucrats are asking you not to spread disease.

Bulford has done multiple interviews over the few days, and represents the redneck/yahoo wing of the RCMP - he's also an Ivermectin treatment advocate.

I have no problem with folks who decide that they don't want to honour the terms of their employment, and quit. This guy should be discharged immediately.

Keean's facial hair is hideous. He makes Twatsy Ross look like Tom Selleck.

On the surface of it, I would suspect this is just another one of the hydra-headed "grass roots" protest groups launched by the same small cabal of activists. It bears all the same earmarks"
- an "open letter" professing to represent a consensus, but curiously unsigned, with one or two actual "spokespersons
- reliance on exactly the same list of unqualified medical practitioners
- reliance on exactly the same rhetorical challenges to legality and constitutionality. I specify "rhetorical challenge" because any actual attempt to challenge these public healthy measures has failed.
- a crazy quilt argument by committee appealing to fear, ignorance, authority, and sickly, authoritarian version of what these jumped up little Nazi wannabees view as "patriotism".

What's both ironic and horrific about this particular patch of astroturf is the notion of an armed force declaring that measures taken by the legitimately elected government constitute a "threat to democracy" which they, the RCMP, are prepared to rectify.

Fire this fucker.

Ross Owes Day: be kind. Puberty is a difficult time for young males.

Anon @ 1:48: I was about to post something pretty much along the same lines -- this looks suspiciously choreographed, so I'm guessing it was all set up ahead of time: man goes public, claiming to stand on principles and just so happens to take a steaming dump on the PM. All that's missing is the martyrdom-laden fundraiser, and if such a fundraiser suddenly turns up, then we'll know all this bullshit was pre-arranged through Keean Bexte, and it was all just for the money.

Let's watch.

Don't think it was necessarily arranged through Bexte, who's pretty small potatoes. His "exclusive interview" is one of a long string of interviews and podcasts this hopefully-soon-ex Mountie has given to various outlets in the last week.

You can expect a lot more of this now that potentially millions of people are being forced onto welfare over vaccine mandates.

Whistle blowers are going to be coming out of the woodwork and then there's the ones who want revenge and know all the intimate details of Government systems... ie.. passwords...

Kinda reminds me of the environmentalists in the 80's who demanded we stop using paper for bags to save the trees. It's almost like they didn't really think this out.

John, you appear to be confusing environmentalists with ExxonMobil.

John, you also seem to confused about the notion of "whistleblowers".

A "whistleblower" is an insider who courageously exposes concealed malfeasance, usually within a corporation or a government.

It's not an disgruntled employee saying "I really don't like this, and I've got LOTS of anonymous buddies who don't like it either."

The job of a law enforcement officer is to enforce the law. When you decide you don't want to do that, you quit.

@Anonymous

The healthcare and system Seniors homes were a disaster long before Covid-19
Federal and Provincial governments have been using covid and now the unvaxxed
as an excuse for the cracks showing.

Firing tens of thousands of people is going to lead to a lot of people coming forward
now that they have nothing else left to lose.

Same goes with government waste and fraud. You fire thousands and some of them are going to have an axe to grind and nothing to lose. They'll talk.

@John S, 8:20AM:

"Potentially millions of people"?

It's only a small subset of antivaxxers who work in environments where those mandates exist and will be critical. A few thousand, and I doubt most of them will ever land on the welfare rolls.

Rights mean you are free to do things (or not) as you choose, but they do not insulate you from the consequences for the decisions you make.

There will no doubt be a few people who decide to pick their refusal to be vaccinated over their paychecks, although probably not all that many. And I have a weird respect for that, although I really wish that if someone was going to refuse to be vaccinated they would at least compensate by getting serious about masking and self-isolation so they don't spread the plague, whereas instead they seem to want to do absolutely everything possible to make things worse. And, some of those people might, knowing some secrets and figuring might as well be sacked for a sheep as a lamb, blow the whistle. That would IMO be a nice silver lining, I'm all in favour of whistle blowing and secrets not being kept from the public.

But that's not what this guy is doing. He's just bitching in public about policy, on a matter about which he has no expertise.
