I just can't ...

<< It gets worse. He's balding, has a mullet, lives in his dad's basement, and recently had to cut a New York sized rat clump of hair out of his head after getting his ass thoroughly kicked. It's been brought to my attention Patrick fancies himself a clothing designer and is designing women bikinis (sorry, I had to pause because I was heaving). He's the prototypical internet troll and will never be more than that. Did I mention he's single ladies? >>

After reading that, I almost felt like setting him up a "GoFundMe" if not for the fact that he comes off as an asshole and these legal troubles seem self-inflicted.

Anon: One can't share their opinion about another without it ending up in court?

Set up a GoFundMe if you wish, but that's money that'll just go to Robert.

Patrick doesn't have a case here and he's fucked up procedurally.

Imagine every time you called someone an asshole based on their behavior and you got sued for it every single time.

Opinion would be rendered useless.

Indicative of Patrick Ross's lack of intelligence and lack of respect for the court system, Twatsy didn't even bother to spell-check this rubbish.

Here are the spelling/grammatical errors I noticed. These probably aren't the only errors in the document.

montary

“To to a named Tik Toch Tek.”

“During his woking junkets in Grande Prairie, [Twatsy] has not been living in hotel.” (2 errors in this sentence!)

inprison

“actions constitute harassment iof [Twatsy.]”

Defendat Skinner

“eggregious actions.” (like making a bunch of omelets?)

The Patrick(tm) is going to need an awful lot of receipts to make that claim hold together ... assuming, of course, that it's even allowed to go to court.

I'll put aside the absolute nonsense that results from Patrick's tortured abuse of English, much less what he seems to be doing to the language of law ...

MgS: Even if Patrick's claim got to court, he would have zero chance of winning for a very simple reason. One of the non-negotiable requirements for something to be defamatory is that it damages your reputation in the eyes of reasonable members of the community. More concisely, it has to harm you in some way.

Patrick's argument that what Peter Skinner said is defamatory is defeated merely by pointing out that many others have considered Patrick a mouthy, childish buffoon for years, evidence of that being all over the Internet.

Given that people have been laughing at Patrick for over a decade, there is no merit in suggesting that something someone said *recently* could possibly make Patrick seem like even more of a doofus.

... much less a million $ worth of damage to his reputation ... I suppose we could rank what his 'reputation' is worth by putting up a bio website for him and see what bids come in to purchase the domain?

I'm guessing it's about $0 ... because frankly he's a pretty insignificant.
