"Pastor Art" Pawlowski: Raking in the big bucks.

A brief reminder that, unless something changes, Rebel's current cash cow, Pastor Artur Pawlowski, will be sentenced tomorrow, with the horrifying possibility of (*checks notes*) three weeks in the slam:

The other part of the penalty could be a whopping $17,000:

Keep in mind that this is all in the context of Rebel News having raised what certainly looks like well over a million dollars for just Pastor Art, which means that, after at most three weeks in jail (which quite conceivably could be waived as "time served"), the good pastor and his Rebel News handlers will walk away with a cool million to blow any way they want.

Trebles for everyone!

THE ODDITY: From that same article, here's a bit of a puzzler:

Given that the hearing has already come and gone and all that's left is the sentencing, and that Rebel News has clearly raised massively more than any conceivable fine and costs award, it's not at all clear why Pastor Art "still needs your help."

This sounds familiar. I remember that a few years ago, one of the people who quit Rebel Media (Cailin something?) claimed that the reason Lauren Southern was fired from Rebel was that she was crowdfunding for a Rebel trip to Israel, but even after they reached their goal, Ezra demanded that she not admit that and keep fundraising. She didn't approve so she quit.

That's the rumour, and if it's true, it seems to show a pattern of fundraising above and beyond whatever the cause is so there's always lots of money left over.

Let's not forget that in between his Canadian court appearances, "Pastor Artur" is prospering on the Paleo-Republican Rubber Chicken MAGA Circuit, touring the US with fellow disgraced speakers like Roger Stone and that My Pillow Guy. https://www.antihate.ca/calgary_hate_preacher_american_tour_organized_us_religious_group_militia_artur_pawlowski
Yes, the Rebel's fundraising page warns its readers that it will skim off money for expenses relating to its fundraising campaign, including website operation. Since that's pretty much everything the Rebel does...
But I fear things are about to get a little lean for the Rebel - with this court action, Pawslowski has lost his earning which big corporate or political donors are running money through the various potential for Ezra, and there's nothing new on the horizon. I remain very curious about which big corporate or political donors are keeping them afloat through these various filters and intakes.
