I think that 'shlemazl' is just an unsophisticated version of those that cry "anti-semite" at any criticism of Israel.
A professional victim that will scream "new antisemitism", just like so many that seem to loose all logic when it comes to their religion and unabashed love of their homeland....

the guy is divorced from the truth on the basis of irreconcilable difficulties. basically, he gets to be an eliminationist and a bigot because he's the terminal victim. you aren't allowed to criticize him, or israel or persons of jewish extraction because he's the terminal victim plus you're an anti-semite. regardless of any of those niggling facts and details that just clutter up the version of reality he has adopted.
