Dear Americans:

In case you hadn't noticed, that's how you run an election.

Ha ha! Paper ballots! How quaint!

And accurate!

Our elections run fine when Democrats don't try to screw them up.

I assume you mean by Democrats suggesting that they actually want their votes counted? Yeah, they really can be a pain in the ass that way, can't they?

Good call CC! I agree. Those retarded machines in the US are terrible. It is no wonder Kerry lost LOL!

And how long did it take to actually get the results in? 2, 3 4 hours only?

Yes, Democrats want their votes counted - including the ones dead people cast. They also want spoiled (and thus illegitimate) punchcard ballots counted, even if people have to sit in a hot, cramped room for hours on end trying to figure out who this moron voted for and that moron voted for.

However, they will fight tooth and nail to throw out every absentee ballot from military personnel that they can based on the slightest of problems.

Go figure.

Ah, this would be the "But ... but ... the Deomcrats did it too!" defense. Can blaming Bill Clinton be far behind?

as a card carrying democrat i resent the judgemental and utterly stupid comments made by "anonymous" in this post. and i further resent having to waste my valuable time reading them. cc please consider censorship with some of these dim bulbs.

You see, much of the modern Republican party consists of people who switched from being Democrats because of the passage of the Voting Rights Act.
They simply think that black people have no business voting.

You're kind of stuck on that lame retort, aren't you?

In any case, no, it's not anything like that (and Bill Clinton wouldn't know how to cheat an election if he had "Cheating at an Election for Dummies"). This is the "Democrats were, are, and always will be hypocrites" defense. They want votes that they know will favor them counted no matter how illegitimate (or illegal) they are while at the same time throwing out votes they know will favor the Republicans.

If you're going to count illegitimate ballots (e.g. spoiled ones), then count absentee ballots even if they have some minor problem with them. If you're going to throw out absentee ballots because they have some minor problem with them, then throw out illegitimate ballots, too.

Do I have to spell it out further for you, or is it still too complex for your childish brain?

BTW, blame the Democrats for the increased demand for electronic voting machines. If they had been smart enough to use paper ballots in the 2000 Florida election, the issue never would've come up.

Yeah, that Democratic elections officer in Florida sure screwed up, big time.

So you account for the massive irregularities in Ohio how? Democratic meddling? And the lack of Republican support for auditable electronic voting machines is, what, proof positive of their superior intellect?

Just because you call other people hypocrites doesn't make it so.
