To all those Libs put out by the May-Dion meeting of the minds and the death of the "308-seat strategy," how can I put this diplomatically -- you don't have 308 candidates worth voting for. So shut the hell up.
Just saw Solberg spewing his manufactured outrage over the whole thing... "speaks volume about the lameness of Dion as a leader since they cede the riding even before an election is called blah blah blah." What bullshit. Google up the 2006 results for Central Nova; suck a bunch of NDP votes to May; assume very few lost Liberal votes go to MacKay and maybe May pulls it off. Dion wins for being gracious enough to allow a national Party leader a voice in the House. Cause they're sure not going to get one from anywhere else. And the Tories just look bleatingly petty.
I felt some snark coming on, so I went to Wiktionary for a definition of mistake. The definition was "An error; a blunder". The definition of error: "A mistake". The definition of blunder: "An embarrassing mistake".
Very useful site.
So how about dictionary.com's definition:
an error in action, calculation, opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, insufficient knowledge, etc.
Which of these does Wolfowitz applies to him? Did he "mistakenly" judge that pulling strings for his girlfriend was OK? Are we supposed to believe he's that stupid?
Or did he "mistakenly" calculate that he could get away with it?

Obviously, you are not including mockworth.
Also note: Please see the result of the last Liberal leadership contest when Dion teamed up with another environmentalist, Kennedy.
