It's sad when parody makes just as much sense.

Yeah, I thought the cartoon made more sense, too.

So, Dennis Miller thinks Iraq was all about re-branding America into the world bully that kicks ass and takes names? Disregarding the dubious constitutionality of all that, it's just so amazing how much of America's ruling class/punditocracy goes back to square one each and every week.

We all know this, Dennis (that plus it's a war for oil)...we've just been giving the whole WMD's, Saddam=Hitler, purple fingers, purple fingers, purple fingers paradigm the benefit of the doubt. But thanks for confirming for the rest of us that the whole Iraq misadventure is as IMMORAL as we always thought.

What's with the cheesy sound effects and graphics in the Fox piece?

Anyway, man I used to like Denis Miller. Used to.

I never liked him. His legendary mispronunciations ('duplicious') always indicated to me that he was transparently trying too hard to be erudite, and well...it's come back to haunt. He really is just not that bright. He's someone who flips through the history sections of the Information Please Almanach looking for references to drop into his routine. Very sophomoric.

If he wants someone to show him how to really fake erudition, he should hire me.

What a dickhead.

"Ostensibly, we're in Iraq to reinvigorate our brand".

WHAT THE FUCK?? ("WTF??" doesn't seem enough here).

I could go on, but I have to go Christmas shopping for loved ones.
