Come on, Kathy ... a little more enthusiasm would be nice.

Apparently, someone is just a bit put off about having to pass on the bad news.

FUNNIER AND FUNNIER: Josh Marshall points out that, while Haggard's successor sent out an e-mail describing that Haggard did, in fact, confess to some of the charges against him, the original accuser against Haggard failed a lie-detector test on talk radio this morning.

Man, I'm betting that successor guy wants a do-over.

THIS IS ALMOST UNFAIR.
I was going to ask how long it would take for a Blogging Tory to use the lie-detector failure to try to dismiss this entire outrageous scandal. But that would be cheating since, hey, it's already started.

I know ... let's check back tomorrow after it's become screamingly obvious that Haggard is a sex-obsessed drug addict, then see if Jonathan has the stones to post a retraction. Won't that be fun? Yes ... yes, it will.

Confessions are admissable in a court of law, while lie detector results are not.

Lie detectors are machines that don't measure truth or falsehood, they measure physical reactions and are interpreted by varying levels of practitioners. This is why they're used outside the legal system, ie: 'private' security, as a matter of intimidation.

Anyone who voluntarily submits to such a device has not been advised well. If the accusor has the, so far alleged, recorded evidence of contact with Haggard, that trumps any lie detection test, as does any witnessed confession by Haggard.

I did update my site with Haggard's admission.

I don't really think you should be so cheerful about a guy admitting a drug problem and cheating on his family. Its a tragedy all around, not something to be happy about.

What Haggard did was completely wrong, God forgives, we'll see how his family and his church react.

Jesus said that those without sin should throw the first stone, so if that's you... go for it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I'm sorry ... for a second there, I thought you were suggesting we show some compassion. Then I remembered the way you wingnuts gloat endlessly and gleefully over the misfortunes of others.

Try again, hypocrite.

It was just a massage. And nothing relaxes you for a massage like crystal meth. I guess? I've never taken crystal meth actually?

Does it make all the tension just melt away?

I don't think everyone would be enjoying this so much if Pastor Ted had not been such a self-righteous prick. He preached against homosexuals and put himself up on his little family values pedestal. He preached that Jesus hates homos. If Pastor Ted is gay, does Jesus hate him? Was this a test of his faith? He failed spectacularly wouldn't you say?
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Anyone preaching hatred of another human isn't preaching Jesus, they're preaching their own vile filth.
Love is the fulfillment of God's law. Love your enemies, love your neighbor... love as God loves us.

Ted has disgraced himself and his Lord.

I use catnip, but a LOT of it. In fact I'm eating it as we speak. And waiting.

Ti-Guy..."Now, here's my stone....*bonk*"

'bonk'?? Chrissake, TiGuy, you can find a bigger rock than that.

Yeah, Pastor Ted loves everybody eh?...and we aren't preaching hatred. We are laughing at him...not with him.
Crash...there's my stone. Rock on.

It is passing strange that smoking rock and getting a rub-down from a man-whore is more forgiveable than consensual fellatio.

Conservative values, good for me, and good for you.

A tragedy is when you get shot by some punk in your high school. There's no tragedy in this whatsoever. That 2-faced bible thumper got exposed for who he really was.

"Jesus said that those without sin should throw the first stone, so if that's you... go for it."

I'm getting a neck-cramp. How about you get off that horse for the duration of this discussion?
