For the devout loved ones on your Christmas list ...

Sure, it's way early but you don't want to miss out on this -- the 12-volume history of Christianity, brought to you by series' general editor Ted Byfield. Yes, nothing says "thoughtful, historical religious analysis" like the story of Christianity through the ages, presented by the driving force behind Canada's looniest, shrieking, right-wing periodical Canada's second looniest, shrieking, right-wing periodical.

I'm guessing Jesus Christ is going to come off pretty well, and you won't read the real story:

Is it alright to be very, very disturbed by the interpretations up for grabs in the big font on that site declaring "we're finishing the job!"

Does this mean that you have started the War on Christmas early?

One minor correction - Western Standard is owned and operated by Ezra LeRant, not Byfield. ByField started the now defunct "Alberta Report" magazine.

That said, Western Standard takes its cues from the "* Report" publications.

"...an epic like Lord of the Rings, but soundly historical, factual and true,..."

"We're finishing the job!" is just Ted Byfield's way of saying he is the Seal of the Prophets. After him, there will be no other.

Peace be upon Him. *ululates*

Does anyone know what's wrong with the Byfield klan? Are they organically degerate, or do they just drink a lot?

minor correction: Ezra Levant does NOT own the Western Standard... it is owned by the Johnson brothers (Matthew "I am Rahim Jaffar" and Steven) as well as about 18 VERY deep-pocketed oilman in Alberts. Ezra is their "front", nothing more.

More like the Society to Explore and Rewrite Christian History. You can bet they'll leave out the yucky bits.

Link Byfield still has not paid the several thousands of dollars owed to some of the writers who were terminated when he turned the paper into the Citizens-whatever-the-hell- it-is... (I wrote the stub for the Alberta report by the way. Do you likey?)
