Who the fuck is George Jonas? Someone who was vaguely criticized for tweeting the belief that black people have lower IQs than white people?
George Jonas was a right-wing fringe fanatic who thought Pierre Trudeau was the Devil incarnate, or at least a heir to the crown of Che Guevara. He was also married to Barbarella Amiel, who claims he beat her, for the latter half of the '70s.Naturally he was also a "I saw Reds under my bed!" columnist for the Toronto Sun and later the National Post. Just the kind of guy the JCCF would name an award after.
