Chronicles of Twatrick: "Criminal Code of Canada" edition.

While we wait for further developments in the ongoing meltdown and self-immolation of Lloydminster's Patrick Ross, let's refresh our memory regarding Patrick's threat to file bogus and meritless charges against one Jesse Ian Hayward unless Jesse pays Patrick $7,500. And what does the Criminal Code of Canada have to say about such a threat? Oh ...

I'm thinking Patrick might want to get himself a lawyer. A criminal lawyer.

P.S. It is curious that Patrick has not tweeted anything at his "OutlawTory" Twitter account for almost two months. Does he think this allows him to argue that he has no idea what is happening, despite his having shifted all his blathering to his "DragonFireIdeas" account? That's just ... weird.

I'm still having a hard time believing anyone could fuck up their life so completely, then continue to keep fucking it up even more.

From what I've read, Patrick is an undischarged bankrupt (without a trustee), he owes CC over $110,000 (and increasing), he's a university dropout, normally lives at home because he has no place of his own, owns nothing of any value, and now has Saskatchewan sheriffs working on a collection order against him.

Next, he stupidly filed a lawsuit against Peter Skinner while not admitting being a bankrupt (and not filing a Notice of Libel first), so that action should get dismissed immediately, after which it's likely he'll have costs awarded against him, *AND* possibly be declared a vexatious litigant.

Finally, he threatened another guy with a lawsuit he knew was false, and publicly said he wouldn't file if that guy paid him $7,500, which according to any reading of the law is extortion, so now he can be charged with extortion, which is a *criminal* charge and could result in a criminal record which would totally fuck up his future employment and travel possibilities.

Seriously, what's left? Maybe he'll drive drunk and kill a pregnant woman in a wheelchair or something. Honestly, what is left of Patrick's life that he can destroy through sheer stupidity?

@Anon: You forgot that, if Patrick's remaining parent passes away, there is no chance he will be able to inherit anything as I will simply seize it. That means there is zero chance that Patrick will be able to continue living in that Lloydminster property, so he will be, at the age of at least his mid-40s, reduced to couch-surfing and hoping his close relatives are willing to let him live with them until they tire of him and hand him off to the next reluctantly accommodating relative. And one more thing.

According to the collections act in Saskatchewan, Patrick would be allowed to keep $1,500 per month for basic living expenses, the rest of which I am entitled to garnish towards his debt. If Patrick ends up with a criminal record and is reduced to working menial jobs at minimum wage, it's unlikely he would be able to contribute more than a few hundred dollars a month towards his debt, which would not even cover the accruing interest.

Quite simply, left to his own devices, Patrick will almost certainly never be able to get out of debt; he will be an undischarged bankrupt for the rest of his life.

We all know that Reprobate Ross is a dim-witted knave. However, this latest extortion attempt is especially awful.

Twatrick clearly and knowingly targeted a disabled, autistic man for his get-$7500-quick scheme.

This guy deserves everything that's coming to him, and that will hopefully include criminal extortion charges.

@ROD: I don't think Patrick actually believes he has any foundation for a case here; I think this is just his way of having fun and jerking people around for the entertainment value.

My long and unpleasant history with Patrick suggests he is simply incapable of thinking long-term; he does incredibly stupid and self-destructive things because it gives him a temporary sense of amusement and self-gratification and lets him bellow, "Victory!", with no thought to the eventual consequences down the road.

That this is what is happening should be obvious -- Patrick avoids service from Peter Skinner because he knows it annoys Peter and probably costs him a few dollars for an extra attempt at service, so in Patrick's universe, that's a win. He cares not at all for the inevitable consequences when he ends up in court and that evasion comes back to bite him in the ass.

He's done that with me for years. The most obvious example is Patrick's refusing to pay the court-ordered $200/month as part of his conditional discharge order for bankruptcy. I'm sure he thought it was just funny as hell that he was depriving me of $200 per month, never realizing that, in the long term, it would allow me to file to have him kicked out of bankruptcy for non-payment, wherein he now owes me the full amount of my judgment.

Everything Patrick does is aimed at giving him *immediate* satisfaction; he has no ability to think beyond that, and that's how he ended up where he is now.

CC: Wise points. You have the amusing distinction of understanding the warped, sociopathic psychology of Patrick Ross better than anyone in the world.

Even if Twatsy didn't really believe he had a case, that's still awful that he decided to pick on a disabled, autistic man for kicks. Like a true (wannabe) bully, he targeted who he thought was the most vulnerable person he could find.

Funny how his attempt at making Jesse's life more difficult backfired spectacularly with Jesse calling his bluff and telling Twatrick to "pick a court date, see you in court" resulted in so much backpedalling. It'll be even funnier when the consequences of this extortion attempt bite him in the ass with criminal charges on top of everything else.
