Chronicles of Twatrick: Moving to B.C. is not going to help.

Given that bankruptcy is administered by a federal department out of Ottawa, moving to B.C. is not really going to help Lloydminster's Patrick Ross:

And come January, that department is going to want to have a chat with Patrick. Count on it.

Huh ... I wonder if he'll change his permanent address to sidestep further collections action against him?

MgS: That won't do him much good for a couple reasons.

First, even if it costs me more time and effort to keep chasing him, all of those costs are simply being added to what he owes me. That is, the SK sheriffs charge for their efforts in enforcing my collections filing(s) against Patrick, but all those costs are just being added to his debt, so he will be paying for all of it in the end.

More importantly, I (like Peter Skinner) have filed an official complaint with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB), which is a *federal* department which oversees bankruptcy in Canada cost to coast, so switching provinces does Patrick no good whatsoever.

Specifically (as I wrote recently), even as an undischarged bankrupt without a trustee, Patrick would have been advised of his legal obligations under the bankruptcy regime, which he has so obviously and dismissively ignored, and I can assure you that the OSB will be having a chat about that with Patrick in the new year no matter *where* he lives.

Patrick can run, but he can't hide.

P.S. Ironically, one of the absolute obligations of any undischarged bankrupt is to keep the OSB up to date with your current address, so it would be cataclysmically stupid of Patrick to move and not tell the OSB where he lives just so he can subsequently claim, "Gosh, I had no idea I was supposed to let you know," when I know that he has been instructed on at least three occasions of his legal responsibilities under bankruptcy, that being one of them.

I can assure you that if Patrick tries to snow the OSB with, "Honestly, I had no idea you were trying to get ahold of me," holy fuck, but that will end badly for him.

Basically, short of squatting in the crumbling remains of an abandoned cabin somewhere in the middle of the BC wilderness, he's pretty screwed ... and I doubt he has the skills to "live off the land" as that would require of him.

I imagine the obvious dodge will be something along the lines of: "Oh, I still live in Lloydminster, and my parents will forward anything official to me". Not sure that will go over very well ...

MgS: We are *way* beyond, "My father will make sure I get mail sent to me there," given that his father is on record as having explicitly refused to accept properly-served legal documents on Patrick's behalf. You have no idea how much trouble Patrick is in with the OSB, and it's only going to get worse if I have anything to say about it.

The $100K+ Patrick owes me might end up being the *least* of his worries.

I'm not familiar enough with the OSB's operations, or what they do with someone who has been so blatantly delinquent in maintaining their file. I have a feeling it will be ... unpleasant for Patrick.

If only he'd put that drive and dedication into trying to act like an adult.

Patrick is so fucked lolol. At least two people called the OSB on him.

The fed is gonna own him. Maybe he will do jail time..... hahahaha
