In response to my delightful prose related to Rebel News' shriekingly-untalented Drea Humphrey and the deluded, medically-illiterate and hilariously misnamed "Canadian Frontline Nurses," blogger "John S." gifted me with the following deliciousness:
"Canadian Frontline Nurses" is actually a rebrand of Hugs over Masks. This time, Vlad is keeping his name and face out of it because his scams finally caught up to him. He's been organizing with these women at Corduroy restaurant for the last year. It's the grifters hangout.
Vlad moved to Vancouver after getting kicked out of the rallies there for ripping off some people including the fake mass business opening that Menzies reported on.The list of businesses was a copy/paste job from the phonebook.
Vlad started getting greedy and power hungry in Vancouver so all the grifters there kicked him out a couple months ago.
Odessa Orlewicz is a notorious control freak. She lectured someone over a handmade sign made from a pillow case because she didn't like the wording of the message.
Vlad and Odessa are now battling it out over control of the PPC in Vancouver.
Where to even begin? How about with "Vlad", for whom even the most cursory of online searches reveals that he appears to be in bed with absolute crackpot and convicted defamer Kevin J. Johnston:

And I'm sure it's just the most astonishing of coincidences that Rebel News, while pimping the vile idiots behind "Canadian Frontline Nurses," just happen to be funding a legal challenge on behalf of the very "grifters hangout" at which they congregate to choreograph their dangerous stupidity.
Seriously, I need a word beyond "grift."
AFTERSNARK: At what point does Rebel News coverage cross over from alleged journalism to pure and flat-out free advertising for selected businesses?
Despite there being hundreds of thousands of businesses toughing it out through the pandemic, how is it that Der Rebel always seems to have a teeny but favoured collection of them that get absolutely relentless promotion month after month? (*cough* Whistle Stop *cough*)

It's about time someone pointed out the obvious, that all that money was going to Ezra and his friends. Even worse, it seems that most of that money is going to represent a really, really small set of people, the ones that generate the best PR and most sympathy.
I've been keeping track and it seems that close to $200,000 has been spent just defending "Pastor Art", and all of that has gone to exactly two lawyers from the law firm JSS Barristers in Calgary, so no matter what happens to Pastor Art, at least a couple lawyers raked in the big bucks.
Why is this not bigger news?
Ezra is currently live-blogging the proceedings of a hearing trying to establish whether or not the Rebel is a credible journalism operation that should be accredited for the candidates' debates. He's demonstrating the Rebel's approach to journalism with a long string of mocking, dismissive remarks about the Federal lawyers; long, approving quotes from the Rebel's own attorneys; and a series of fawning compliments sucking up to the Judge. Irony is truly dead.
I will shortly have some opinions on the whole Rebel News accreditation thing, and why the government lawyers are some of the stupidest fucking human beings on the planet.
Actually. Vlad Sobelev is working with Chris Sky but doing it behind the scenes since his name is mud in the freedom movement. Chris isn't much a spotlight sharing guy.
It was Chris and Vlad who organized that protest in front of the Police station in Toronto which Chris falsely advertised as being a Police protest.
Their tactic now is to organize protests and advertise they are being held by nurses, police and other frontline workers. They are ditching the brands. Even the T-shirt's are starting to go away because people are sick of the focus on selling merch.

Kevin Johnston is hated by pretty much everybody.
He just shows up and inserts himself. That's his shtick. He's been doing that close to 15 years.
People are quietly looking forward to him going to jail so he's out of their faces, same with Derek Storie who's the real life version of Trevor and Cory all rolled into one.
I've been with Drea at Yaniv court and rallies. She's dumb as a rock.
She barely even knows how to operate a camera. That's why Matt was brought in.
It's Sheila giving her the stories to do and arranging the interviews.
Her latest video with the parents of the girl who claims she can't walk
is a GoFundMe scam. A lot of vaccine injury scams are going on now.
I'm betting Drea is taking a cut of that. (GofundMe at $23K last I checked).
There's zero evidence the girl was even in hospital. her social media and Facebook
friends don't even mention it.
Rebel is deep in bed with all the Freedom movement grifters
I know people who have sat in on their meetings. every video is planned
well in advance. Even the "Arrests". Drea was instructed to get as close
to Trudeau as possible to trigger the RCMP reaction.
The Trudeau video jumps around because several attempts failed and it looked to obvious what she was trying to do.
Menzies Montreal video was the same. they cut out all the stuff that showed him trying to do his old walk into moving vehicles thing but it failed, so they just
left in the part of him saying "You tried to run into me!".
You want to nail Rebel Catch them on video staging stuff.
Have someone just filming them the entire time and you'll see the performance
and failed attempts.
