Barring an appeal, in 13 days, I get to register my defamation judgment against Patrick Ross of Lloydminster in Saskatchewan, at which time Saskatchewan sheriffs will be given the job of enforcing the collection of the entire amount owing (at Patrick's expense):
Legally, Patrick has every right to file an appeal within that remaining 13 days, but given the judge's scathing beatdown of Patrick's last argument:
I'm going to guess that appeal will go nowhere, and I will be awarded even more costs that the sheriffs will be tasked to collect (did I mention at Patrick's expense?).
I'll keep you posted.

Magic 8 Ball Guess: Patrick will file an appeal at the last possible moment.
Not because he thinks it will go anywhere, but because it's a delaying tactic and he sees this whole escapade not as a serious matter but as a game of chicken.
We'd try to predict what Patrick Ross will do in the next 13 days. However, it's hard to get in the mindset of someone so sociopathic, deluded and stupid. We know Patrick is going to do something ridiculously dumb* here, it's just hard to know what precisely.
*There's maybe a 1-in-100 chance he smartens up, does the right thing and pays you in full.
MgS: I agree completely that Patrick will wait until the very end to file an appeal, but when he does, he will be in for a very unpleasant (and expensive) surprise. More than that, I'm not saying.
