Rebel News is going to get someone killed.

They came close at least once before. During the wave of Syrian refugee intake, Sheila Gunn Reid published a whole series about refugees stinking up hotels, cooking goats in the bathroom, and number of other racist, debunked slurs. She then listed the actual hotels that were hosting refugees, and then noted archly that ANYBODY could go on Trip Advisor and enter horrible reviews, without actually going the hotel in question. It was an exceptionally sleazy and anti-business piece of bigoted nastiness. But shortly after her posts, some deranged redneck woman posted a bug eyed, anti racist tirade calling for "action" from what she claimed was the hotel's stairwell, and within a couple of days, police removed an incendiary device from the hotel.

You know, the weird thing is that from a strategic perspective, the Rebel are currently objectively traitors to what you would think to be their cause. That is, they seem currently dedicated to splitting the right wing vote in Alberta so the NDP can get in, by pulling more of the very important moron vote away from the not-so-United-Conservatives and over to the new Wild Rose or somebody.

PLG: You are so missing the point. Der Rebel has no political or ideological principles, other than what puts money in Ezra's pocket. If Ezra sees more profit in turning on the UCP rather than supporting it, then that's what happens. There is no end game here other than profit.
