Peters ... Peters ... where have I heard that name before?

It's getting kind of embarrassing regularly linking to Glenn Greenwald, but he has an annoying habit of writing pieces that relate nicely to stuff that's appeared previously here at CC HQ. Here, Greenwald describes the growing trend of neo-con mouthpieces who, having once upon a time viciously savaged anyone who criticized Glorious Leader's imperialistic ambitions in Iraq, now openly admit that things are going straight to hell and, by the way, what's with this basket they're carrying?

It's amusing that Greenwald uses, as Exhibit A, the New York Post's Ralph Peters, who regular readers might remember from way back here, when Peters totally pooched a report on Army "re-enlistment" rates and had to retract it the next day. Naturally, as you can read at that post, the damage had already been done as numerous members of the wankersphere trumpeted the alleged good news from the parapets, then went totally silent when reality came back to towel-snap them in the nads.

And, oh yeah, speaking of Ralph Peters ...

WELL, YOU HAD TO SEE THIS COMING. And Damian Penny falls obediently into line. Good boy, Damian. Here's a biscuit.
