Dear Dems: Enjoy it while it lasts.


And, true to form, it didn't even take 24 hours for the Democratic "leadership" to start doing unspeakably, indescribably asinine things.

Someone needs to take Rahm Emanuel into a dark alley one night and make sure he never comes out again. What a wanker.

Just wait until the first Democratic suggestion of using subpeona power against Bush & his cronies. The Liebermans/Emanuels & their ilk will become really annoying.

Yes, let's spend the next two years attacking a lame duck President and his failed policies rather than trying to get anything done for the American people.

Lets spend two year's fighting the Bush administration, and then try to convince the voters that it's some other guys fault that we got nothing done for 24 months. Even if the voters DID blame Bush for blocking the Dems, so what? HE'S NEVER RUNNING AGAIN AND NEITHER IS HIS V.P.!!!

I think the Democrats know exactly what happens to a do-nothing Congress that spends all their time on partisan attacks. Add to that a do-nothing Congress that spends all their time on partisan attacks against an administration that's never going to face the voters again, and will be replaced by a candidate with 2 years of clean hands while the Democrats and a lame duck president had control of the country?

The Dems can have a lot of fun if they want, but if they do, they might as well not get too comfortable in their majority offices. And Bush can leave all his Republican paraphernalia in the Oval Office for his successor.

Unlike partisan grunts in the field, I think the Democratic leadership is playing chess, not checkers.
