The retarditude that is "Hunter."

The drooling stupidity of Stephen Taylor's Blogging Tories is a constant source of depressing entertainment. Here's Hunter again, suggesting how we teach that uppity darkie Barack Obama a thing or two:

Bring It On Obama!

US protectionism will make Canada wake up. After every recession comes change, it just might not be the change Obama was thinking about. Obama wants cap and trade, fine, we will cap it off, and trade it to China and India. How would the US react to loosing 20% of their energy supply?

Eco-nuts and Quebec want our dirty oil banned, let's go for it, let's stop selling our oil and gas to the US, tomorrow. Just for one week.

Yeah! Fucking Obama, we'll just turn off the oil taps and teach him a lesson! Oh, wait ... we can't, because we're not allowed to under the current NAFTA agreement. No, really:

... The only condition that NAFTA imposes on Canadian energy products is that all buyers in North America must have equal rights to buy those products.

I think I'll go clean out the cats' litter boxes now. I'm guessing I'm going to find lumps in there that are more intellectually advanced than Hunter.

In fact, I'll bet on it.

Apparently, we are all CC. And shlemazl blows dead bears.

Blogging Tory and professional victim "shlemazl" continues to set new standards in whiny douchebagitude. "Marky Mark" makes a simple observation:

I note that a vile commenter tried to use CC's blog to spread a certain sort of venom and that CC removed it tout de suite, with this comment:

"No, Anarchore, you don't get to play. There really are some people who are too vile to put up with.

By CC, at 12:42 PM"

To which "douchenozzle" responds with his typical lack of class and vivid imagination:

@Marky Mark:

1. Don't you think the "vile commentator" was actually CC's sockpuppet who CC then punished to get some brownie points? I don't have any proof except for the obvious fact that I am right.

Dear douchenozzle. Fuck off, once and for all. What a waste of time this has been.

Name that Blogging Tory!

Ah, the unabashed adoration:

I have noticed that PM Harper is more relaxed now after over 3 years as our Prime Minister. He is really starting to hit his stride. He has gotten into a comfort zone and Canadians are noticing his excellent management of our economy at a very difficult time. Foreign leaders respect him and listen to his opinions...

I couldn't put my finger on how I felt about meeting PM Harper, but that is what I felt as well, a quiet charisma! He is very attractive, those blue eyes are very warm, and he is very easy to talk to, but he has a presence that you can not ignore. Quiet charisma describes it perfectly.

Excuse me while I go hurl somewhere.

DING DING DING!!
We have a weiner. Amusingly, PM Il Douche is, according to Hunter, "really starting to hit his stride" when, back in June of 2008, he was "on stride again." Apparently, Stephen goes in and out of stride a lot.

On the other hand, you can be a drooling cementhead if you already live here.

Blogging Tory JoJo is all about having newly-arrived swarthy people having a clue:

This morning’s excellent editorial by Martin Regg Cohn in today’s Toronto Star (Rethinking the rules of citizenship) ties in nicely with the direction the discussion was taking at the previous post. (H/T NNW)

Cohn seems to applaud Kenny’s efforts to rewrite the rules of citizenship in order to better ensure that newcomers have “a basic knowledge of our political institutions, our democratic traditions, our values, what some people call civic literacy”.

I couldn't agree more. In particular, I think it would be just ducky if those newly-arrived furriners understood that a coalition government in Canada is perfectly legal, and not a low, dirty, underhanded, unconstitutional coup designed by sleazy usurpers in a smoke-filled backroom to undemocratically overturn the results of the last election.

And when those furriners figured that out, perhaps they could explain it to JoJo and her Blogging Tory colleagues, who seem to be embarrassingly ignorant of how basic Canadian politics work. That would be, like, totally awesome.

I'm betting those furriners could teach the Blogging Tories better English as well.

AFTERSNARK: It behooves one to ask: If citizenship requirements were toughened considerably to keep out the allegedly ignorant and illiterate rabble, does that mean that Jojo and her Blogging Tory colleagues would finally shut the fucking fuck up about the difference between "real" Canadians and, you know, people who were just "Canadians?" You know, not real Canadians but second-class Canadians, "Canadians of convenience," that sort of thing?

Would their citizenship finally mean as much as, say, Kate McMillan's? Or "Neo Conservative"'s? Or Kathy Shaidle's? Or "Raphael Alexander"'s? Or a number of other hideous Canadian racists and bigots who I'd gladly trade for a war refugee in a heartbeat?

Would we finally be able to stop comparing passport values?

Sure, let's talk about anti-Semitism.

In which we learn that Blogging Tory "shlemazl" is a total and utter douchenozzle whose opinions on the topic of "anti-Semitism" don't mean shit.

Lately, we've been talking about anti-Semitism, but it should come as no surprise that there's no point discussing the topic if one doesn't properly define it first, wouldn't you say? So what does it mean to be "anti-Semitic?"

I'm guessing that it means that you don't like Jews. Is that a fair statement? It means that, fundamentally, deep down, you dislike someone for no other reason than that they're Jewish. Can we all agree on that? Really, I can't see how anyone can dispute that position. But that forces one to accept a fairly significant observation. It means that you can't accuse someone of anti-Semitism unless you know their state of mind, and it's that point that will prove that shlemazl is a complete and utter douche. Let me demonstrate by way of example.

Let us imagine that I have a Jewish neighbour and that, one night, I sneak over and burn down his garage. Does that make me anti-Semitic? Actually, there's no way to know unless one understands my motivation.

If I did it just because I hate those dirty, stinking Jews, then of course that makes me anti-Semitic. If my entire motivation was that I despise Jews, then my anti-Semitism is kind of obvious and no one could reasonably deny that.

On the other hand, it might be that, the day before, my wife was out shopping and was driving around the mall parking lot and my neighbour was being a total asshole and speeding in that same parking lot and hit my wife's car and when she got out to exchange vehicle information, said neighbour berated her, insulted her and finally slapped her across the face before driving away, and I'm so pissed off about that that I torched his garage. Does that make me anti-Semitic?

I would argue that it doesn't. In that second case, I didn't set his garage on fire because he was Jewish, I did it because he was a boorish asshole who physically assaulted my wife. And while that doesn't justify my actions, it at least explains them, whether those actions are justifiable or not. Do you see how that works? Because it demonstrates, beyond any possibility of refutation, that accusations of anti-Semitism must take into account one's motivations or state of mind.

And why is this such a big deal? Because of what douchenozzle wrote back here (emphasis leg-humpingly added):

I do not know for sure whether it is hatred of Jews that motivates these people. Neither do I care. I am sure their best friends are Jewish. Who knows what motivated the executioners of the Kristallnacht? May well have been commercial considerations against Jewish competition. An act of anti-semitism is anti-semitism whatever is the motive.

Pause.

Go back and read that first part again:

I do not know for sure whether it is hatred of Jews that motivates these people. Neither do I care.

One more time, to make sure you appreciate the screeching assholitude contained therein:

I do not know for sure whether it is hatred of Jews that motivates these people. Neither do I care.

In short, douchenozzle is perfectly happy to sling around accusations of "anti-Semitism," while making it clear that he has no interest whatsoever in understanding the underlying motivations. He doesn't care about anyone's state of mind; it simply doesn't concern him in the slightest. If a Jew is being treated badly, well, that's anti-Semitism and that's the end of the discussion.

And that's why douchenozzle's opinions on the topic can be utterly discounted. His bleatings on this issue have no value whatsoever. None. Nada. Zip. Because he's an ignorant cretin who sees no problem with accusing everyone of "anti-Semitism" when he himself makes it clear that he doesn't know what the phrase means, neither does he care.

Herein endeth the lesson. And the smackdown.

AFTERSNARK: There's an entertaining hypocrisy to hearing wanks screech on and on about how every mistreatment of Jews is "anti-Semitism" since, curiously, they take exactly the opposite approach with their own rancid homophobia.

As they like to explain, their obvious dislike of gays should never, ever, ever be dismissed as simple homophobia. That's unfair. There's always another reason (whatever the hell it might be). But it's never homophobia. It's only a desire to strip gays of basic rights, deny them the same protections the rest of us have, keep them from getting married, etc, etc. But it's never "homophobia." On the other hand, "anti-Semitism" ... hoo boy!

The double standard is amusing, is it not?

AFTERSNARK, PART DEUX
:

"You don't like someone that's Jewish! That makes you anti-Semitic!"

"Well, you clearly hate Barack Obama. I guess that makes you racist."

"No way! That's different!!"

It always is.

A trifecta of ... something.

Oh, dear God ... the perfect storm of douchebagitude:

Go Listen to Mark Steyn

My friend Wendy Sullivan has a weekly radio podcast. This week we celebrates its one year anniversary. Wendy has a special treat for us. Marl [sic] Steyn is guest hosting!

That would be this Dr. Roy, this Wendy Sullivan and this Mark Steyn.

I'll leave you to recover for a few minutes. I'm guessing you need it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The first commenter over there writes:

LOL you have a Lord Black support thingy. And you sqwuak that Iggy was not in Canada. You reek of hypocrisy. Actually, you're just silly.

What a devastating observation -- some of the people who are dumping all over Ignatieff for having spent years as a respected American academic are the same ones who unabashedly worship a convicted felon who renounced his Canadian citizenship, then hypocritically begged for it to be reinstated when it suited him.

Somehow, the word "douchebag" seems inadequate, doesn't it?

I win.

Oh my ...

No wonder Blogging Tory Neo "Nazi" Conservative thinks Sheriff Joe Arpaio is just the bestest thing evah!111!111!1!!!!

And representing the theistic side of the argument, some annoying bitch.

Via TBogg, we learn of one Charlotte Allen, who challenges us atheists to an intellectual give-and-take and animated discussion of the finer points of theology, as long as we can stop being such snivelling, whining jerks and self-obsessed, boring martyrs and assholes. Then maybe we can get somewhere.

In related Canadian news, Blogging Tory "Neo Conservative" invites you to leave a comment, you stupid, ugly, pathetic, ignorant, screeching, CC-loving moonbat leftard cocksucker. Or are you just chicken?

P.S. I would love to debate the finer points of God-existsness. Consider, if you will, the more intricate details of metaphysical epistemology contained herein:

If you were to "prove" that my mother did not exist, I would still know you were wrong, because I know my mother. The logic would in fact be flawed. In the same way, Christians know that God exists, through the witness of his Spirit whom he has given to us. God is not a theory or an idea or a wish. Therefore, I can say with certainty that any logical proof of God's non-existence would be flawed.

An interesting proposal which could be worded somewhat more succinctly:

I'd like to prove that I'm right. As a start, let us assume that I'm right. The rest follows naturally.

That does save everyone loads of time, doesn't it?

Is Peter MacKay an annoying douchebag? Absolutely.

Sadly, Canada's Defence Minister has taken to asking and answering his own questions:

“But,” he added, “can Canada be influential in these discussions at NATO? Absolutely.”

“Can we work close with our allies and with the Afghan government to play a positive role and ensure that everyone is engaged in these efforts to protect the public? Yes.”

And if that sounds familiar, well, it should:

[Donald] Rumsfeld has an annoying habit of asking and answering his own questions during press conferences, etc., in the following fashion:

"Are there still Taliban around? You bet. Are they occupying safe havens in Afghanistan and other places? Certainly they are. Is the violence up? Yes. Does the violence tend to be up during the spring, summer and fall months? Yes it does. Does that represent failed policy? I don’t know. I would say not."

Would we all be better off if Peter MacKay shut the fuck up? I think so.

*Sigh*.

Dear Shlemazl: You really are a total douche, aren't you?

It's always sad when someone eJankulates prematurely.

Blogging Tory and Boy Detective Steve Janke gets all hot and bothered about, well, stuff that bugs him:

Hypocritical Liberal criticizes parachuted politicians except his own

Can a politician just waltz into a community and expect people to ignore that this person is essentially a stranger when casting votes?

Three ... two ... one ... smackdown. Movin' on ...

The party of the troops.

Not so much.

It's because they lie.

All the freakin' time.

Crusade?

Who said anything about a crusade?

Ooopsie.

Pic shamelessly stolen from The Huffington Post.

Stones and glass houses and stuff like that there.

And if one pops over to the CPoC main web site, one finds the following sophomoric jab at Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff:

Yeah ... denigrating the leader of the opposition party as a pretentious, self-absorbed narcissist. Sure, why not? It's not like that could backfire in any way.

But let's leave off the eliminationist rhetoric -- it might be awkward.

Blogging Tory and dark person homicide aficionado "Neo Conservative" gives a big shout-out to his homey, fellow Blogging Tory Darcey Jerrom:

Hmmmmm ... I could have sworn there was more to that story. Oh, right, here it is:

Oh, come on, Neo ... it's not like you've ever been embarrassed to celebrate the violent deaths of foreigners. Why start self-censoring now?

In other news, Blogging Tory shlemazl wants to assure you that:

Non-Jewish Tories do not tolerate bigotry.

Sometimes, this job is way too easy.

Well, this is perfect timing.

The fact that I'm looking at you while you're speaking doesn't mean I'm actually listening. I just thought you needed to know that.

Jews, Jews, Jews, Jews, anti-Semitism and Jews.

Oh, yawn. Let's just hit the highlights, shall we? How about this:

Not always, but more often than not, I am hounded as a Jew and as "disloyal" and told to leave Canada. Like this. Or like this. Or like this.

That last link above gifting us with Ti-Guy writing:

It's very rare that I am moved to think "go back to where you came from," but in Shlemazl's case, that's the reaction I quite often have. He's been holding all Canadians responsible for the trauma that was inflicted on him growing up in some god-forsaken place in the Urals and has been using the Israel/Palestine conflict to keep that wound festering. He's managed to introduce a viciously racist quality into the discussion of that conflict that never really characterised the debate among most Canadians (who've been forced to pay attention to that never-ending tribal squabble for decades) all that much.

It's an imposition and it's insulting, quite frankly.

Which, to be honest, I find a perfectly reasonable position. If shlemazl wants to whine on and on and on and on and on and Jesus, Mary, Mother of God, tiresomely, tediously on about Canadian anti-Semitism, what's wrong with suggesting that he drag his sorry ass to Israel, join the military and put all that blogging energy to work physically defending the Motherland from eight-year-olds with rocks? In what way is that any different from the years of, "You like communism so much, why don't you move to Russia? Huh? Huh?"

I don't see a problem here, shlemazl. Given your incessant snivelling, you have my blessing to pack up your shit, get on a plane and go put your money where your mouth is. What's so offensive about that?

And shlemazl gets just a wee bit panty-bunchy here:

To be fair, there was one exception. A bit of a fuss ensued following this comment partly due to implied support for the objectives of the Nazis, which is still a taboo even among Left2 but largely due to a newspaper article which quoted this as an example of where the NDP is moving to.

That link gives us Robert McClelland:

When the State starts rounding up my Jewish neighbours, I’ll speak up.

Not me. People like Klownsella, Chernyuk and Smeagol the Jew have taught me it’s not worth getting involved. When next they come for the Jews I doubt I’ll even be able to muster up a “what a shame”.

Probably not the best choice of words, but not hard to see where that's coming from, given the incessant shrieking from the pro-Israel lobby that everything is anti-Semitism, as Haroon Siddiqui explains here. Personally, I'm pretty much fed up with every single criticism or condemnation of Israel being immediately slapped with a label of "anti-Semitism," and it's why I've gotten to the point where each new accusation barely registers on my radar anymore. When you hear that shrieking at least once a day, after a while, you just stop listening, especially when every time you do check out the shrieking, it turns out to be utter shash. After a while, you just get tired of being suckered.

Oh, and there's this from shlemazl:

Is it beginning to sound a little bit familiar? Let me provide another illustration of what I am referring to. In the post entitled "Stephen Harper: Good Little Jew Boy" - apart from the racially provocative choice of words (how about calling the US President "Good Little Nigger"?) Canadian Cynic claims that the Prime Minister of Canada jumps whenever "Jewry" tells him to.

See Haroon Siddiqui link above. But what's absolutely fascinating is what's not in shlemazl's latest shrieky piece -- there's not a single mention of the raging neo-Nazi sentiments of shlemazl's Blogging Tory comrade Kate McMillan and other Canadian wankers. One scans shlemazl's latest piece in vain for any mention of Kate McMillan, or Canadian Sentinel, or Jessica Beaumont. How ... odd. Which makes my original accusation all the funnier and more poignant:

North American Jewry is unable to recognize actual anti-Semitism because they're too busy spooning intimately with it.

And, hilariously, shlemazl provides the perfect evidence for just that, yapping on about anti-Semitism over there while it's currently plopped down right in the middle of his Blogging Tory aggregator living room. Then there's shlemazl's money quote:

There are anti-Semites on the right and on the left. The difference is that mainstream Canadian right do not tolerate anti-Semitism.

I'm going to stop now, since I really don't want to chance getting any of that stupid on me. Seriously.

AFTERSNARK
: OK, one more observation. It's tres amusante to hear shlemazl take the position that there's precious little anti-Semitism among Canada's "Right," suggesting that he is not overly bothered by other kinds of bigotry and prejudice.

One doesn't have to work very hard to notice that, even among shlemazl's Blogging Tory bunkmates, one finds raging bigotry and hatred targeting, oh, gays. And blacks. And aboriginals. And Muslims. And immigrants. And feminists. Yet, curiously, none of this seems to bother shlemazl, for whom anti-Semitism remains the only true test of bigotry, and all the rest is simply details.

And when shlemazl is so obviously indifferent to everyone else's persecution, is it any surprise that -- after a while -- everyone else stops giving a shit about his?

I'm just sayin'.

THE UNBELIEVABLY BURNING STUPID
: I just noticed this from shlemazl:

See I have never met a person who said that all criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic.

Oh, for fuck's sake (emphasis added):

Stephen Harper equates criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism.

"Unfortunately, Israel at 60 remains a country under threat – threatened by those groups and regimes who deny to this day its right to exist," he told a Toronto celebration marking the anniversary.

"And why? Look beyond the thinly veiled rationalizations: Because they hate Israel, just as they hate the Jewish people."

There's only so much of the burning stupid you can take before you start looking for that bottle of Scotch you stashed away so the cleaning lady wouldn't find it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! OMFG!!

Non-Jewish Tories do not tolerate bigotry.

I have to stop now. Really, it's like reading a combination of Hunter, Jonathon Strong and Paul Marek. The retarded version.

WHAT A COINCIDENCE: I just noticed this.
