It's funny until someone loses an eye ...

... then it's hilarious.

Canada's wankers do have a fascinating sense of humour. Over here, Crazy-Assed Racist Redneck™ has some fun with the folks at the Western Producer:

The Western Producer responds with an attempted self-immolation. When it comes to editorial rants, that's going to be hard to top!

All right, then, let's see what's so hysterical:

Fire struck Tuesday morning at the Saskatoon building that's home to Canada's largest agricultural newspaper, the Western Producer.

Staff with the weekly farm tabloid and at PrintWest Communications, where the fire started, were evacuated from the building.

"A few of us grabbed a few things … and went outside for the few minutes it usually takes to get the drill over with, except this time there was a fire," said reporter Michael Raine, who was left standing outside with a camera but no jacket.

No one was hurt.

Oh.

Well, I guess that's just a real knee-slapper for Kate and her adoring clutch of mouth-breathers. Of course, if that had happened at, say, The Western Standard and one of us lefties had made sport of it, well, you just know that the outrage would have been overwhelming, and how dare we find entertainment in the misfortune of others and blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda. You all know the drill by now, don't you?

And remember -- no one hates like the Angry Left. It's the phrase that pays.

Thinking maybe Canadian Cynic could use some time in a Canadian Clinic...

Yeah, a clinic that catches fire and where the patients get burned really badly. Then KKKate and all the minions can pee their pants laughing.

By the way, Mr. All-COCK moderates his comments. What a surprise...

What do they have against The Western Producer? That's been the main farmers' newspaper for decades. Back home, everybody was a subscriber.

I grant you it's been 16 years since I last read it, given I got the hell off the farm shortly after turning 18, but I can't think of why anyone would dislike the paper - unless, of course, it came out swinging supporting the Wheat Pool in the latest dispute.

Oh c'mon now, CC. SDA is, after all, the Best Canadian Blog. People around the world know how we Canadians laugh when buildings go up in flames and occupants are terrorized by the experience. I mean..if you can't find humour in that, you must actually have more than one brain cell and everyone also knows how dangerous that "intellectualism" thing can be.

I can hardly believe that they've left the Tim Johnson thing alone. I thought that there was a pretty good chance (notice that I didn't say "I fully expected") they'd be rubbing their hands together hoping for nature to finish the job (in the Republicans' favour), and justifying it by glibly pointing out what a freedom hating leftie he is anyway.

They didn't, crabgrass.
