U.S. midterm election Canadian wankery open thread.

And now it's your turn to comment on the most classless, most graceless or just downright most dumbfucking stupidest and wrongest comments and/or predictions made by the Canadian wankerhood regarding the elections down south.

I'm going to start things off with Canada's poster child for fragile mental health, Proud to be Canadian's Joel Johannesen:

And as I keep saying over and over, referring to both the U.S. and Canadian elections, conservatives lose when they stop being conservatives.

Because, as we all know, Pennsylvania's Rick "Man-on-dog" Santorum lost only because he simply strayed too far to the left for his own good. Damned shame, that.

And there's Spanky over at "The Politic," with his own "Dewey Defeats Truman" moment:

Michael J. Fox’s intervention mattered for little in Missoura. Senator Jim Talent wins.

Whoops. That would be embarrassing, if Spanky had any shame whatsoever.

In any event, the comments section is open. Take it away.

P.S. I doubt you'll find anything as jaw-droppingly out of touch with reality as this but, hey, you just never know. The night is young.

MARK STEYN WANKERY:
Canada's own Mark Steyn screws the pooch, clubs it to death, then violates the corpse in unspeakable ways:

Well, my petard was hoist a long time ago. I said months back that the Republicans would hold both houses, and I’m stuck with that even if the polls show Rosie O’Donnell winning the Utah Senate race by a landslide. But fortunately for me the GOP will come out ahead on the night, more or less.

In unrelated news, Steyn predicted that, if the U.S. invaded Iran, the troops would be greeted as liberators. And, by the way, it would be a cakewalk.

Adam Daifallah was right though. What a towering intellect.

How about Kathy Shaidle, who wrote, "I listen to podcasts of Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved, et al every day, and they fought the good fight this election and mostly lost. Their enthusasim was contagious -- I even thought the GOP would keep the House."

It became obvious some time back that the GOP were going to lose the House by a bunch. Does this woman not even read?

Canada is still run by conservatives! Now all the nut cases are going to have to move north. Praise the Lord.

m@,

Thanks for reminding us about Mr. Daifallah's brilliant prediction.

(See earlier CC post, quotes Daifallah "The Reps may lose, they may win, we'll see.")

... But you know, their strength is their fanaticism. And you don't get fanaticism from being nuanced and open-minded about reality.

Mercifully, I had almost forgotten Rachel Marsden. She is still flying the flypaper flag at the Toronto sun.
