"Irony"? How do you spell that?

Apparently, ideologically-slanted news is a bad thing. Who knew?

THE HYPOCRISY! THE HYPOCRISY! As thwap points out, government propaganda masquerading as news was a regular feature of the Bush administration. Recall, if you will, the embarrassing cases of Armstrong Williams, Maggie Gallagher and Michael McManus. And those were just the ones who got caught.

Sorry, Kate ... you were saying?

As long as KKKate can link to other Pajamaliners, she'll never give up.

So Michelle "Swiftboat Veterans For Truth-lovin" Malkin wonders about the veracity of mainstream news reporting 'eh?

Stupid shit-head.

Hey KKKate, hey Michelle, ... did'ja know it was official US policy to make up stories and propaganda screeds and sell them to Iraqi newspapers as "journalism"?

Didja know the (actually, you stupid fuck-faces, do you REMEMBER that the bush II regime was embarrassed by revelations of payouts to tv pundits to get them to praise great-leader bush II's policies as unsolicited media opinion?

The day these cowardly, lying morons accept responsibility for their actions is the day I take them seriously.

Fortunately, their wave has crested, and their days of any significance whatsoever, are rapidly coming to a close.

They've seized on the truely Orwellian tactic of deliberately conflating innuendo and implication with fact. It's astonishing because they know it's a ruse that really works. Most of us can be lead to doubt something we haven't experienced personally, or don't have the time or the interest to research more thoroughly, and they're quite happy to plant that doubt and leave it at that.

As far as I'm concerned, if it's not a criminal act per se, it certainly reveals a criminal character, and it's only a matter of time before these propagandists are faced with the choice of moving onto outright lying and criminal fraud, or simply giving up. The mainstream media could start helping by beginning to marginalise the lead propagandists...Malkin, Ingraham, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Coulter (and our own, flaccid equivalents). If these people didn't exist, what on Earth would KKKate and her ilk have to blog about?
