Gosh, the pansy-assed whining from the right about that "Countdown to 2,000" fatilities in Iraq had hardly faded away and we can already guess that 3,000 isn't that far away, is it?
I'm guessing the ongoing U.S. military death toll means that democracy is on the march. Or that the insurgency is getting "desperate." Or that it's in its "last throes". Or something.
BY THE WAY, before anyone from Wankerville turns into a whiny little pussy and starts to complain about how I don't care about the troops (like it's my job or something), they might want to ask this guy about his priorities:
Calling the Bowl Championship Series "deeply flawed," the chairman of a congressional committee has called a hearing on the controversial system used to determine college football's national champion.
A House Energy and Commerce subcommittee, charged with regulating America's sports industry, announced Friday it will conduct a hearing on the BCS next week, after this season's bowl matchups are determined.
"College football is not just an exhilarating sport, but a billion-dollar business that Congress cannot ignore," said committee Chairman Joe Barton, a Texas Republican. Barton's panel is separate from the House Government Reform panel that tackled steroids in baseball.
I mean, it's not like there might be other pressing issues on the agenda, right?

Perhaps there is dark cabal in the US government which believes if enough soldiers are sacrificed in Iraq, the God of Democracy will bless Iraq?
