Sorry, what was all that "hoist by their own petard" stuff?

Oh, man, this is just too delightful:

Venezuela to Seek Legal Action Against Robertson

Caracas, Venezuela - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said on Sunday his government would take legal action against Pat Robertson and potentially seek his extradition after the U.S. evangelist called for Washington to assassinate the South American leader.

Just pull up a comfortable chair, this should be entertaining.

OOOOOH ... Apparently, there's really something to this.

Wonder where all the "Law and Order" Conservatives are gonna sit on this one re their curious reaction to Marc Emery's extradition.

Is "the Law is the Law and the Law Must be Obeyed" still applicable when it's a christian minister's touche on the line?

After all... he Rev Robertson seems to have broken the laws of Venezuala...He should have known better... and that's what you get for breaking the laws of another country... etc... ad nauseum.

/sarcasm off

blech.

A Little Yin and a little Yang here...

First, what a way to make a ridiculous situation ridiculouser. A guy says somehting in a country thousands of miles away, and somem people want his arrested and extradited. C'mon, let's be realistic. Pat's a douchebag, and that's still legal.

However, remember the South Park episode with the fake medium who ends up winning hte "Bigest Douche in the Universe" contest? We need one of those.

Certainly Pat Robertson's worth nomination. But I don't see how Bill 'Reilly can lose. Maybe add a rule that you can't win twice in a row.

So it's okay for a Christian religious leader to call for the death of someone, but not okay for a Muslim leader?

Is it because you think he's not serious?

What?

I hope they keep Robertson in court until he's broke.

And the best thing is that Chavez is still offering cheap (free?) oil to poor communities in the US over the winter. Perfectly classic politics.

I could bow to that guy. :)
