It's nice to know that when you buy Stephen Harper, he stays bought. As Roger Waters once sang, "Every man has his price, Bob, and yours was pretty low."
Who knew it was such a doddle to get B'nai Brith's highest honour?
"I luz Isreeal!" Now give me my award and make it snappy.
"Prime Minister Harper continues to be a beacon of inspiration not only for Canadians but for peoples all over the world who value democracy and freedom."
Ironically the support of B'nai Brith which is these days essentially a CPC front organization has had little impact in terms of delivering actual Jewish voters to the Conservatives.
Obviously Harper's sympathy is for Israel--it's almost a caricature. And obviously B'nai Brith is pro-Israel. But I don't think Harper has been bought by the Jooooos, which is sort of what is being implied here--at least, that implication is there to be be drawn. Not all Jews defend either the Israeli state's actions or belong to B'nai Brith.
I think it's crucially important to make the distinction between the Israel-right-or-wrong folks and "Jews." Otherwise things start to sound like the old Jewish conspiracy meme.
I know you don't mean that, but this article just feels bad, and the hed is way beyond.

Words fail me. These people are insane.
It's up for debate as to who bought who.

Not many can quote that album, kudos.
This is a bit close to the line, CC.

The title and the tone is simply put a disgrace and fully anti-Semitic.
