Apparently, good lovin' don't come cheap.

Sometimes, you really have to invest a lot of other peoples' money:

World Bank President Paul D. Wolfowitz publicly apologized yesterday for the "mistake" of personally orchestrating a high-paying job and guaranteed promotions for a bank employee with whom he is romantically involved, as new details of his role in the arrangement emerged and staff members angrily demanded his resignation.

She wasn't a "nappy-headed ho"; she was a high-paid ho. There's a difference.

Bwhahahaha----Brilliant. I just wish I hadn't had coffee in my mouth, which is now on my computer screen.

That pretty much nails the situation.

THANK YOU!

Should you really have to "angrily" demand his resignation? And what's up with this apology fad?

The apology fad has something to do with the fact that fundy Christians believe there is no higher calling than for them to forgive.

The most beautiful act for the fundy is to show grace and to forgive. Steal public money, double-deal, hire gay hookers and snort cocaine...whatever. Say you're "sorry" (it helps if you cry) and I'll be filled with the love of God and I will grace you with my loving forgiveness. I won't care whether you go out and do those things over and over again, because, you see...your sins are all about me.

The sinning is the best part of repentance. Arabic Proverb

(but, hey, we are all guilty, except in Dragnet, where the story that you are about to see is true, but the facts have been changed so that the guilty may be proven innocent)

I stopped sinning when a priest in confession told me that he was getting tired of doling out the same penitence week after week. He said "What part of 'go and sin' no more' are you having a problem with?"
