Via the boys over at Mike and Dean's, we learn that those on the Right are still trying to raise the level of discourse:
It’s time to stomp out atheists in America. The majority of Americans would love to see atheists kicked out of America. If you don’t believe in God, then get out of this country.
The United States is based on having freedom of religion, speech, etc., which means you can believe in God any way you want (Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, etc.), but you must believe.
I don’t recall freedom of religion meaning no religion. Our currency even says, “In God We Trust.” So, to all the atheists in America: Get off of our country.
Atheists have casued the ruin of this great nation by taking prayer out of our school sna being able to rpactice what can only be called evil. I don’t care if they have never committed a crime, atheists are the reason crime is rampant.
Tune in tomorrow when the Blogging Tories totally, totally condemn such vicious hate-mongering, 'cuz that's just the kind of fair-minded, compassionate conservatives they are.
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Just yankin' ya. No, really.

Luckily, Thomas Jefferson, who actually wrote the US Constitution, did:

In the meantime, I think its time we stocked a few arms to protect ourselves from these nutters.
And to this person writing the editor in this case I have to say is three fold:
Firstly, you cannot have freedom OF religion unless you also have freedom FROM religion. Whether or not Justice Scalia agrees with her you cannot truly be free unless you can enjoy a full range of choices not just the ones society deems acceptable.
Secondly, what has ruined this nation, as you put it are all of your crooked hateful right wing politicians building $300 million bridges in the middle of nowhere, exchanging naughty emails with underage Pages and starting wars of convenience with lies.
And lastly: No. I'm not leaving. You're going to have to come and make and you're not going to like what happens then.

How come most inmates claim to be christian? Does the bible cause crime? I mean, hey it's awfully violent....

And Mike, I agree with you; owning a gun is starting to look really good right now. And I hate guns.
