Apparently, that good old Christian compassion purely permeates this administration:
FEMA chief: Victims bear some responsibility
The director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency said Thursday those New Orleans residents who chose not to heed warnings to evacuate before Hurricane Katrina bear some responsibility for their fates.
And as we all know, there's no better way to console people trapped in a devastated city with no food or water and surrounded by dead bodies and mounds of human feces than to tell them that it's kinda their fault.
I'm sure they're feeling better already.
