DHS secretary Michael Chertoff: Just another worthless, evil Republican hack.

Watching CNN this morning and sharing the stage at an outdoor gaggle were two of the sorriest excuses for human beings on the planet, Chertoff and FEMA director Mike Brown.

At one point, Chertoff made it abundantly clear that he had heard the increasing criticism of the government's handling of the disaster but, hey, this was just not the time to get into blame or finger pointing, he had a job to do, there were people who desperately needed help and he wasn't going to waste "one minute" discussing accountability because this just wasn't the time for that sort of thing.

Perhaps he has a point. In the midst of this ongoing tragedy, taking the time to figure out who the fuck is responsible for this fiasco or to start assigning blame would be wrong. So very, very wrong.
