The worthlessness of blog awards.

Not to take anything away from Robert's 2005 Canadian Blog Awards but this is what happens when any lunatic can invent their own awards show. Brought to you by right-wing Wizbang! which, for you puzzled Canadians, would be equivalent to being brought to you by Pete Rempel and Anonalogue.

In any event, the nominees for best Canadian blog are, in some cases, a real hoot but depressingly predictable: North American Patriot, Daimnation!, Small Dead Animals, Proud to be Canadian, Angry ... and so on, with the occasional non-right-wing-nutbar blog thrown in for balance. (Attaboy, pogge!)

Whatever.

P.S. And don't forget to check out their delightful choices for Best Blog: Andrew Sullivan, Captain's Quarters, Powerline, Michelle Malkin, Instapundit, Little Green Dumbfucks™ ... yes, the wingnutosphere is represented nicely. What? No AmericaBlog?

P.P.S. If you vote, you'll get to see the current voting totals. At the moment, Kate over at SDA is running away with the Best Canadian Blog category. Which is as it should be, given that she and those awards organizers truly deserve one another.

So do your country a favour and go vote for pogge. And this time, listen to me fer Chrissake.

And that's why I stick to the Koufax awards.

I'm not a big fan of his polices, but Andrew Sullivan is a high quality blog. He's also smart enough to finally have realized Bush is scum, something other Conservatives have yet to discover.

After the election is over you and I should collaborate on a "Worst Blogs" award show. :D

You're just bitter that you didn't make finalist despite being nominated. Loser.
