When you have to make a point of telling the world that you're an "alpha male", you most definitely are not an "alpha male"

No no, I totally believe ol' Patty Boy is an Alpha Male...if you think of Alpha in the software development sense. See, the Alpha phase of software development is pretty early on in the process, long before final release. It usually means that the software is just starting to get tested by someone other than the developer, is likely missing features that'll appear in the final product, is pretty unstable, and will likely throw errors all over the place to such an extent that it could cause crashes and data corruption/loss of data.
When you look at it that way, and look at how he's lived his life so far...I think it kind of checks out.
