APPARENTLY, there's more here than meets the eye. According to the Globe article, the e-mail interview was not with O'Toole himself; rather, the e-mailed questions were answered by a press secretary:
This raises the obvious question: Was Ezra not aware he was not actually talking to O'Toole? And if he knew that, did this really represent an "exclusive interview" if O'Toole wasn't part of the process? I'm going out on a limb here, and speculating that O'Toole was more than a little pissed as being described as giving an "exclusive interview" to Rebel News, given that he seems to have known nothing about it.
RUH ROH: Apparently, Ezra has been caught misrepresenting that interview "with Erin O'Toole," as he has subsequently admitted that he knew it was O'Toole's press secretary providing the answers:
In short, Ezra claimed an exclusive interview "with Erin O'Toole" when he knew full well that he was getting answers from only a press secretary. That seems ... tacky.
