Good lord, looks like a Geocities website circa 1996.

Looks to me like someone saw it was available and decided to do a little online ratfuck. It's registered via reg.ca (whose website also looks like it was designed by someone stuck back in Web 1.0) which is run by Helen and Graham Laverty, whoever they are.

It doesn't even meet the low bar of web design set by rallyfacts.ca. Hey, on that subject, you should go take a look at the comments... I'm guessing their forum didn't go as planned as they turned off commenting. As far as my post there went... it looks like they wanted to make sure I couldn't get the last word... it's truly amusing.

Cheers!

One should never combine web design with heavy drinking.

Ooo... somebody at the Liberal party brain trust is going to be a little bit annoyed with the web design department for the little oversight of not registering liberals.ca sooner.

A glance at the page, though, suggests that the people behind it might be involved with the BC Marijuana Party. There's some kicks at Stephen Harper here too.

It's all in the s.

Well, someone who thinks they're associated with the Marijuana party might explain the design...

But, I think the message (what there is of it) is more oriented to pro-Conservative and none of the rest.

The only positive image there is of Harper, with an official Con graphic, which banners the rest. It seems to be selling Cons as less 'scary' and more moderate than the BC Liberals (who aren't what I consider Liberals, but SoCreds who couldn't get elected as SoCreds anymore so they took over the provincial Liberal set up, nevermind what Bill VdZ is trying to revenant)

The juxtaposition of the fed Cons vs the provincial Libs is apples vs oranges, but trying to hit people where they're angry.

Given the 'forum' is staledated info from 2005/2006, all fluffing Federal Cons or dissing the Provincials, this looks unlike the MaryJane Party, as the site references the MP as not the only ones getting stoned.

This seems just more of the Usual Suspects waxing paroxysmic over Their Guys TM getting into power while being 'funny'.

MP people have more on the ball even when stoned.

I dunno about the Liberal Party having to register every permutation of Liberal. They already have liberal.ca (as sassy pointed out).

What if self-identified liberals (as opposed to party members) wanted to setup a website a la progressivebloggers.ca? I very much believe you should only register domains you intend to use, squatting on domains always rubbed me the wrong way. It blocks expression on the web, by restricting identity to others with claims on the term used. (Registering a single domain in with respect to a trademark is a good idea, but all permutations is a little excessive).

Though since I am in a very obvious minority, I acknowledge they may want to do something with liberalparty.ca and liberalpartyofcanada.ca as well..

I wouldn't mind so much if these pathetic efforts weren't so damn artless/childish all the time.

Do we need yet another reminder that we're surrounded by cretins with too much time on their hands?

hard for me to call it ratfucking when it's so clearly a fraud.

Whatever. Sucks and blows at the same time. Net result = looks like a typical NewCon job.

Think you just gave that site more attention and traffic than it has had in years. Most recent post on 'the forums' is from a little over three years ago.

Is now Wednesday, February 10. CC is MIA. So —

Blizzards in Washington, Baltimore & Philadelphia show us that Global Warming is a hoax, or at least over. So why oh why can't King Stephen get it to snow in Vancouver? Why does it have to be so warm, right when the Right Honorable wants chilly? Is God pissed?
