There's grift, and then there's Rebel News.

This is so awesome ... Rebel News is grifting personal data from its gullible donors in the name of disqualified transplant candidate Annette Lewis WITHOUT EVEN FUNDRAISING FOR HER!!

Seriously, Rebel News is raking in and monetizing all of those imbecilic petition signers in the name of Lewis, and not even collecting for her now exorbitant legal expenses.

Now that is how you grift ... without even offering to help financially.

How else is Rebel suppose to pay for their fact finding mission to Israel? Pass the KFC bucket.

Rebel couldn't find a fact if it were shaped like a Lego piece and they stepped on it. And their last trip to the land of (((Globalists))) with Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes went real well, didn't it?

I think the "fact-finding" mission to Israel generates a tidy profit for the Rebel already.

What they've done is pre-booked a set number of seats on a completely standard tour package with an existing tour operator. The Rebel "fact-finding tour" will be one of hundreds of identical tour groups being led through exactly the same tourist attractions in exactly the same order with exactly the same hired guides. The only difference will be that they will have to endure "lectures" from "experts" on the Middle East during lunch and the evenings. You know, famous geopolitical analysts like Drea Humphries and Dave Menzies?
Last year my wife and I spent a month touring the Middle East (on our own dime, of course - I don't have Ezra's grift machine). The Israel and Dubai itineraries and attractions we booked through a tour company were literally identical to the Rebel itinerary. This is not a "fact finding tour" - it's the kind of "Holy Land Excursion" most frequently booked by aging American evangelical groups.
It's actually a real revenue generator for the Rebel in several ways.
- By approaching a tour operator with a commitment to purchase a large number of seats on a standard tour package, Ezra will get (a) a certain number of free seats as the "tour organizer", and discounted rates for the non-Rebel suckers.
- However, that saving is NOT being passed along to the rubes. A virtually identical itinerary from Indus Tours (https://www.indus.travel/tour/highlights-of-israel-and-dubai/) is priced at $4,070 CA, and INCLUDES "international round-trip airfare from various gateways." Ezra's package costs $8,099 CA, and travellers must book and pay for their own travel to and from Canada. So that enormous markup alone turns a profit for the Rebel.
- Presumably the Rebel team are considered to be "working" during this junket, and so draw whatever compensation they usually receive. Add to that the fact that all of the Rebel's own costs, including planning and administration, travel and accommodation are deductible operating expenses. Jeez, this is really starting to look pretty lucrative.
- And we're not even counting as benefits the sale of Rebel merch and subscriptions to the poor saps locked for ten days in tiny buses and being endlessly pitched by Ezra and Sheila, and the fact that this junket will yield several months worth of talking head, barely edited portentous monologues from self-important propagandists co-splaying "journalist". Dare we hope for a repeat of Sheila's outraged discovery that are actually Arabs living in Arab settlements? Or a reprise of Gavin McInnis' drunken paean to Holocaust denial, "10 Things I Hate About Jews"?

You can’t make this shit up, Ezra is in France on a fact finding mission. The video is gold as he pushes Franceonfire.com

I'll have to check that out. I love Rebel "foreign affairs" junkets. My fave, I think, is when they sent that ex-stripper to "cover" the destruction of Notre Dame Cathedral. For three consecutive days her posts on the Rebel consisted of talking head shots from different angles in which she provided condensed Wikipedia articles on the history of Notre Dame and hinted darkly at Muslim terrorism (with absolutely no evidence or source, of course); on her own Instagram page we get to see her enjoying the best shopping and fine dining Paris has to offer.

Ezra's goal, as always, will be to simplify a complex, scary foreign event for his exceptionally stupid readership to elicit fear and rage against the right people. Can't wait to see how he spins this.

Yes, the spin, when he figures it out, will be interesting - which is more than one can say for the "coverage". It's the usual Rebel demo coverage so far, which means they simply shoot people and cops running about, usually from the same angle, uploading it in sixty seconds snippets without context, analysis or commentary. The most exciting bit so far is a shot of nothing happening on a street, and Ezra says "there's a helicopter", and the camera tilts up, and by gum, there IS a helicopter, then the camera tilts down to the street where nothing is happening again.
Perhaps I'm not doing justice to Ezra's vision for "journalism", and he is actually seeking a revolutionary approach to "news" that incorporates the aesthetic of Andy Warhol and Yoko Ono.

Rebel Commander Ezra’s France fact finding mission has begun. He fails to understand what’s happening in France is a result of mass immigration without an endgame of assimilating them into the country. I need some of CC’s gin after watching this, ha.

Ezra’s theme has now emerged, and it is depressingly predictable. The unrest is the fault of Muslims who may pretend to be loyal Frenchmen, but are secretly undermining the country because believers in Islam will never put secular law above their own religious beliefs.
You know, sort of like Artur Pawlowski and the Rebel’s motley coven of Christian COVID Deniers for Jesus?
