But that was DIFFERENT -- the prorogue edition.

Once upon a time, when the Liberals were in charge (emphasis added) ...

Liberals May Prorogue Parliament in Fall

Canoe.ca reports that the Liberals might prorogue Parliament in the fall as a way of giving themselves more time to put together a platform and to implement a cabinet shuffle.

They’d also have a new Throne Speech in early 2006.

In other words, it will hinder the work of Parliament for its own partisan purposes. They’ve already undermined the constitution to do this, why not prorogue Parliament.

Yeah. Undemocratic bastards, those sleazy Liberals. But hark! What ho!?

Booo-ooooock, bock bock bock bock bock

Who's afraid of an election? Steve's afraid of an election. More particularly, Steve's afraid of democracy. Not able to handle the daily grind of question period now that September's rolled around we're hearing. And apparently it's a problem that there's a little democratic exercise going on in Ontario. Can't have Ontario issues coming front and center in the House and putting poor Steve on the spot, Duffy tells us. Ain't that a kick in the pants? That's your job, man. Doing the people's bid-ness. Answering questions. If you can't handle the heat, get out of the way for people who can...:)

The proroguing of Parliament is an admission by the Conservatives that the previous session was a failure. And that they can't handle going into question period now.

I'm sure the fair and balanced outrage from the excitable children at "The Politic" will be by any minute now. Yessir, any minute now ...

BONUS WHACKJOBBERY: There are no words ...
